This property has a lot of potential, but it definitely felt like a work in progress. We could tell that work had been done on the place, like fresh paint, nice window shutters, and what looked like a fairly new bathroom, but there were nails in the walls where it looked like something was meant to be hung, and some of the furniture looked a bit worse for wear. Also, there was no light in the main bedroom except for a small lamp with a red bulb in it. There was black mold growing on one side of the tub in the bathroom (yuck), and it had some loose tiles where you could see cement and dirt underneath. The water heater was quite problematical. The hot water kept running out, and the property manager said I needed to keep flipping a certain breaker switch to get it working again. Not the best when the hot water runs out right in the middle of somebody's shower. We also had to reboot the wireless router at least once.It was nice to have a clothes washer (no dryer), and we appreciated the balcony. Also appreciated the water, tea, milk, etc. that was left for us. The beds were comfortable. It would have been nice to have more places to hang our towels in the bathroom.All-in-all, it was a bit expensive for what we got, but it was Grand Prix weekend, so I guess that's typical. Also, the check-in/host communication was somewhat vague. It was a bit of a walk to get there from where we were viewing the race in the harbor, so it wasn't like we were super close.
