The rating 10/10 is absolutely correct: We stayed the third time in this nice house and enjoyed it.Marie is a lovely person and quite focused on the well-beeing of guests. The quality of the house is excellent, the surrounding is quite silent (except the birds) and you are within minutes in the small city with food markets, icecream-shops, whatever you want. Not to forget the beach!
Marie was a wonderful host, she was there when we arrived, gave us a tour and explained how everything worked. The property itself was amazing, perfect location, clean and had everything you could possibly need. If we are ever lucky enough to return we would definitely stay at Marie’s Fisherman’s House.
Absolutely fantastic! Cannot praise Marie’s house enough. We stay in many rental houses and this is the best! Spotlessly clean, excellent linens and towels, comfy beds, more equipment than you could ever need, quiet, beautifully furnished, so near to the shops and the beach. It’s absolutely perfect. And Marie is a truly lovely lady. If you are visiting this area you must stay here!
The house is just amazing. Beautiful decor and extremely well equipped. Marie was very helpful with anything we needed to know. Fantastic holiday all round
This is the second time we com to this charming house. This time we stayed for a week and we enjoyed every minute of it. We intend to come back next year.
Thanks Marie snd Jean
Marie is an amazing host that is very communicative, always available, kind, and generous. The place is great for a couple and has everything you need. Really cool coastal town only 15 minutes from Nice.
Ideal location, real nice, kind and hospitable landlady Marie, safe and quiet lane, pleasant environment, bbq and dining outdoors on the veranda, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, quite a cosy little holiday home. Strongly recommended.
Marie is a wonderful host. Our plane arrived late and it was dark and raining, but she was there to meet us as soon as we walked to our place. Very comfortable bed, good shower and everything you need. We really loved the area. Bakery, markets, restaurants, and the beach within a block or two. A bus stop is close so you can easily get to central Nice.
Maria and Jean were terrific host. It was beyond our expectations. Wonderful location ,
Maria cannot do enough for you.
Many thanks Maria and Jean we will be back
My husband and I were on our first trip to Europe and had the pleasure of renting Jaques and Marie's cottage. It was beautifully decorated with a fully equipped kitchen including homemade preserves and coffee. Martini and Jaques were very welcoming but not intrusive. The location was perfect - two blocks from the beach and plenty of restaurants close by.
This accommodation is one of the best we have stayed in along the Cote d’Azure. It has everything and more! So many extras that made our stay perfect. Thank you Marie, your home is perfect for a relaxing getaway and easily accommodated 3 adults travelling together. Cagnes Sur Mer is beautiful and so close to Nice. Our accommodation was one street back from the beach, amazing. And so tastefully renovated.
We were absolutely thrilled with this visit and that sense got stronger as the days went on. Our hosts welcomed us and gave us a thorough walk through of the cottage before leaving us and making clear they were available any time should we have questions (which was true). The community is an absolute gem of a village and the bakery around the corner was open each morning at 6am with a delicious variety of pastries and breads. The cottage is as advertised and well worth a stay.
We had a wonderful time. A perfect cottage by the sea, not fancy but tastefully decorated. Walk to the beach and get a coffee and banquette. Wake to chickens and school children playing. Hosts are attentive, responding quickly and very respectful. We enjoyed
Apartment was centrally located to shops, restaurants, meat, seafood, and vegetable stands. The apartment is decorated beautifully and has all small details needed. The beach was a 3 minute walk and Marie has all you will need. She is very friendly and helpful.
When I saw this listing I knew immediately that this was the place I wanted to stay, and my instincts were correct. The house is even more charming than in the pictures and the location is ideal. It’s on a quiet street, but close to every convenience. There are restaurants, shops of all sorts, including a nice grocery store, within walking distance. And both the beach and train station are just minutes away. Marie is a wonderful hostess and she was available any time we had questions. The stay was perfect and I hope to return again.
We loved this place! Blocks from the beach, with a walk on a lovely street with cafes and small shops. Marie and Jean were wonderful hosts on check in, and quickly showed us the ropes. Then, total privacy. They had fixed the small place up with lots of clever space saving features. Our stay was three nights, and it was too short. We headed to Cannes, and wished that we had booked more nights here. Merci Marie and Jean

Owners met us for check in. Marie and Jean were welcoming. Google Translate App was helpful to us both. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with everything needed. Refrigerator has great startup supplies, including homemade jellies! There is a convection oven which we did not use, no traditional oven but a grill outside. Comfy beds; a/c. Wonderful.
This property was so much better in real life than the photos - which were great. It is located close to the sea front with loads of small local shops nearby. It has great public transport links to Nice, Monaco and beyond.
The home itself is exceptional. Decorated to a very high standard with some amazing details. We could have moved in here full time - it really is that good.
Both the host Marie and her husband made themselves available for any queries and the check in was easy, with a full explanation of all the facilities.
I can not praise Marie or her home enough. You will not be disappointed with your stay here.
This was a fantastic place to spend a week close to the beach. The property is cute and very well equipped. We like to cook, and the kitchen, while small (and size appropriate for the property) was very well equipped. Also on-site are an electric grill and a great outdoor space. Marie, was a great host, and checked in on how we were doing a couple of times to make sure we didn’t need anything.
The location was better than we expected, just off a cute little street and the surrounding area has lots of options for food, several bakeries, and fresh produce, meat, and seafood, as well as a wide variety of restaurants. The local bus and rail systems were easy and efficient to use.
We really enjoyed our stay, and will definitely plan on staying again (if it isn’t already booked) next time we’re in the area.
The property has new, modern appliances, cabinets, and bathroom. The exterior doors are new also. The small home is beautifully decorated with a nautical theme. The outdoor front patio is very convenient. The flowers all around the 'Allee' add a pretty touch. The location is perfect, it's close to the beaches and right next to a cross road that is closed to road traffic much of the time for street dining and some live music. It's also a very quiet area at night. The owners, John and Marie live next door, are very friendly and usually available if needed. There is an elementary school in back and you can sometime hear children playing after 8am on weekdays from the lower bedroom.
Marie and Jean were wonderful hosts and we loved everything about this ‘atypical fisherman’s cottage’! Now I understand the name - as it was decorated so beautifully (nothing fishy about it). Marie’s art and creative sense of style were everywhere. Everything you could possibly need was included (i.e. dishwasher, washing machine, coffee pods, paper products etc. - which aren’t always included at other properties we have rented in France) and the location was superb - really close to the Nice Airport. The outdoor space was lovely and private. We walked along the beach to Antibes and took the train all over as the Cros-Cagnes station is only a short walk. Many restaurants in Cagnes-sur-Mer and area, and a cute market just steps away was set up on Tuesday and Thursday. You don’t really need a car here, but if you do, rent a small one. The upstairs loft has a very comfortable, adjustable bed (with dual controls), but if you are tall, best to stay in the downstairs bedroom as the slanted beams have some low points. Only wish we had stayed longer - but will most definitely be back!
Myself and my mum had a fantastic time staying here. The accommodation is perfectly equipped with all things you would imagine and much more! From a shopping trolley, to all the kitchen utensils you could need in the very modern kitchen, to helpful toiletries. The air-conditioning is fantastic and both bedrooms have large comfortable beds – the place was plenty big enough for just two of us and would easily accommodate two couples comfortably. The place has a gorgeous beachside vibe, and the location is brilliant – less than five minutes to the train or the bus stop, less than five minutes to the beach, and set one street back from a fantastic High Street with a local butcher, fishmonger, cheese shop, convenience store, grocers, bakery. The street is extremely peaceful and we heard no noise at night.Plenty of nice restaurants and bars nearby and a great base for exploring the coastline as the train and bus connections are fantastic. We also found the E bike stations around the corner super helpful for a 30 minute cycle along the seafront into Nice. Our host was extremely kind, helpful and communicative – she left a lot of nice touches in the fridge to welcome us and was also extremely helpful storing our bags on our final day when we had a very late flight back home in the evening. Thank you!! wouldn’t hesitate to return.
My friend and I decided to take a trip to Europe and landed on Côte d’Azur. Saw a video on Cagnes-Sur-Mer and found this perfect cottage in Cros de Cagnes just a short bit away. This town is 10 minutes from the airport and a perfect base to anchor while exploring the region. Marie met us upon arrival and showed us all of the particulars of the home. It is exactly as shown and even better in person. She decorated the whole home with thoughtful touches and made sure that it has every convenience. The beds were comfortable and the entire home was lovely. The location was great, you can walk to markets, bakery’s, restaurants, shops, and the sea in just a few minutes. The school is right behind and it was cute to hear the little ones playing. The little avenue is so charming, it’s quiet and there’s a touch of whimsy with each home having its own unique garden. I wouldn’t change one thing about our stay. Marie is so lovely and responsive. She lives next door and as we learned is a talented artist, so be sure to ask her about that. Cros is a laid back town with lots of amenities and a wonderful spot to stay to get away from the larger places nearby, but close enough to get to any of the places in the area.Would be so fortunate to go back and would definitely stay at Marie’s again
