Great house right on the water
This is a well-appointed house that missed nothing. It is spacious and luxurious in an unbeatable location right on Lake Michigan and part of the Bay Harbor complex.
Three complaints (though these do not take anything away from my overall rating):
1. The master bedroom has some short windows above the bed that have no curtains, why I'm not sure. Without curtains you are getting up at 5:30 when it gets light out. If that's your thing, great. We had housekeeping put up a temporary covering, though they did it reluctantly.
2. The 3rd bedroom upstairs has the HVAC for the house in its closet. It is LOUD and cycles off/on every 15-20 minutes. If you can sleep through that, that's fine, but most people will notice it and it is very annoying for the person that gets stuck in that bedroom.
3. The association for use of the pool and workout room is not at the Bay Harbor Inn, which has spectacular facilities and less than a 100-yard walk. The access that comes with the home is with the hotel by the harbor that frankly is subpar. The work out room is terrible and inadequate, and the pool could really use some chaises with umbrellas, so you don't cook in the sun if you prefer not to. My (adult) kids workout daily and they were woefully unimpressed.
For what this house costs it should have access to good amenities.
