Great communication and check in was easy. The only challenge was traveling with bedding and towels for our whole family that took up a lot of room in the car. The kids loved swimming and jumping off the diving board. The kitchen had most of what we would need and the place was very clean.

Smith Mountain Lake

We had a great time and the property was perfect for our group of 8. The kids rarely left the dock unless we were out on the lake. They were swimming, kayaking, and fishing all day. We would definitely stay here again.

Best Family Vacation Ever

We had an amazing stay at this property! Beautiful home located in a quiet cove. The house was very well kept and immaculately clean! The large sectional couch was so comfortable! The kids thoroughly enjoyed the dock with free use of kayaks and the paddle boards. They even caught a few fish off the dock! The diving board was also a plus! The host Sarah was very helpful and responded to our questions within minutes. There's a Market Dollar General Store 5 minutes away! We highly recommended this property and plan on returning soon!

We had an excellent stay. Very spacious property. The couch in the living room was quite comfortable for pur group during hang out time. Enjoyed using the grill and the gas fire pit. The cove was really pleasant and quiet. The owner is super responsive to quick questions. Would definitely return in the future.

We had a great time at the property. The neighbor’s dog likes to come by and was super nice. I would have liked to know prior that there was only 1 roll of TP and 1 roll of paper towels and 1 dishwasher detergent provided for the stay so we could have planned sooner for it.

House was nice and clean. Looked smaller in person than the pics but that is normal. Everything was as described. No issues except the ice dispenser on the fridge makes a horrible noise and does not work and the sink in the upstairs bathroom was clogged up. These were minor issues and we really enjoyed our stay on the property. Wish the weather would have been better to enjoy the lake and dock more.

A simply magical week.

I grew up going to Smith Mountain Lake and I have been wanting to re-create those memories with my own family and children. I picked the perfect home. The home was perfectly situated in a calm cove where my family could safely swim and play on rafts and jump off the dock. The home was clean, comfortable and inviting. I can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience and hope to plan another trip there soon. Great communication, plenty of space for four adults and three children. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience overall with our stay at this home on Smith Mountain Lake. Great location, with the marina just 10 minutes away, the State Park close by, etc. Sarah, the owner, was great from the very first communications throughout our experience. We had loads of fun on the stand-up paddle boards that were included with the rental. We fished, swam, boated, floated, etc. House was great and had all we needed. Thank you!

Great stay, quiet place on the lake

Stay was great. This house is out there and I would recommend getting there for the first time before dark, as the driveway to the house itself can be tricky. However, after that it was easy to find. The house was great for sitting around, relaxing, firing up the grill, or just sitting and listening to the lake and nature. We wanted something country, but not necessarily in the middle of nowhere; this was it. Grocery store is about 20 minutes away, but once you get food there is not much else you'll need here. The upstairs loft was great, the main floor is plenty spacious outside of the sleeping quarters, and the basement is private and has room for days as well as it's own kitchen area.

Our family has owned this home for around 25 years and we are excited to share it with others who share our love for the lake! My family and I reside in WV. I am a pharmacist with two children who both love the lake as much as I do. We have enjoyed coming to the lake for my entire life and we are looking forward to sharing it with you!

This property is in a quiet cove, away from the main hustle and bustle of the lake. The relaxing environment makes it perfect for families with children to swim at the dock, relax on the decks at the home, or read a book while taking in the beautiful scenery of the water.

What makes this property unique

We take great pride in our home and hold it's cleanliness to the highest standards. We have recently installed hardwood floors throughout. The decks on the home provide a perfect view of the dock and the lake, perfect for parents or grandparents who want to relax on the deck while watching the kids swim! There is an upper level and a lower level each with it's own living, kitchen, and dining area- perfect for families who want their own space or separate families traveling together!
