Convenient to neighborhood activities as well as downtown. Everything that one would need was provided. Special touches like wine, cold water bottles, cookies, snacks that one would not typically find in a short term rental were there for us. It really is a home away from home.

My wife and I really enjoy Charleston, and normally stay downtown, but decided we wanted a change of scenery this trip. The cottage was exactly what we were looking for. Very clean, cozy, and quiet. We were also greeted with fresh chocolate chip cookies, and a chilled bottle of wine. Margie reached out to us multiple times during our stay to make sure everything was perfect. We really enjoyed our time in the cottage and will be booking it again for future trips.

Loved the cottage and cleanest vacation rental we have ever stayed in. Hosts have done a great job making it comfortable with everything one may need. Great communication and kind touches with cookies and a bottle of wine waiting for us. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! We actually stayed here three years ago, and coming back was just as wonderful - if not even better. The cottage was immaculate-spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. It was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered to make guests feel welcome and at home. From the little touches (cookies and wine) to the overall setup, everything was intentional and made our stay feel effortless and special. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone.

This is truly a hidden gem!! Margie and Sydney were excellent hosts while also maintaining our privacy. A bonus was the Bottle of wine and homemade cookies and fresh bottle of spring water! And everything from the beach to Downtown Charleston was only about 15 to 20 minutes away.

The perfect lil spot for us to enjoy Charleston!!We arrived to a beautiful lil place, a welcome card, bottle of wine and some home made cookies! The perfect start. We could not have asked for a better experience. That bed was sooooo comfortable too. Spotless and comfortable as well as cozy.

The Backyard Cottage met all of our expectations and more! It’s a peaceful and private getaway offering a clean, quaint, and most comfortable stay in Charleston! The location is close to shopping, the Greenway for walking, and other tourist attractions. Everything we needed for a lovely vacation was included with a few extras to further our enjoyment. Our hosts were very attentive and available if needed. We highly recommend this hidden gem!

We would give it a 5* plus. The space and amenities were well thought out. Not one thing missing that we needed. The Garden Cottage was cozy and lovely as was the beautiful backyard garden. I was impressed with the details and loving care the hosts have shown. Fresh delicious home baked chocolate chip cookies, wine and a lovely note welcomed us. We would choose this place again if in the area and highly, without hesitation, recommend this cottage. It is indeed a retreat.

This property was perfect! It is the cutest little cottage. The owners have taken care to ensure every detail was well thought out. The cottage was absolutely immaculate, cozy, and had everything we needed. So much better than a hotel room, and we loved how tucked away and private it was. It's a quick and easy drive to downtown Charleston too. Margie and Sydney are perfect hosts; very easy to communicate with, quick to respond, and they even had delicious fresh baked cookies waiting on us! We will definitely be staying here again in the future!
