We loved our stay at this beautiful tranquil farmhouse. Our two Golden’s enjoyed the outdoor space. Hiking close by, a beautiful drive to visit Middleburg is a must. We highly recommend this charming getaway.
Gorgeous farmhouse perfect for a getaway near Middleburg. Went for the shopping but found it hard to leave the serenity of the farmhouse in the mornings. Loved that we could bring our puppers.
We had a lovely stay at this delightful farmhouse! It is such a quaint spot with beautiful hardwood floors, horse stables and pond! Very close to many incredible breweries and wineries. Owners are incredibly responsive and so helpful. Would highly recommend treating yourself to this relaxing and gentile experience!
My wife and I had just sold our house and the Lamontagne Farmhouse was exaxtly what we needed to wind down and relax after weeks of chaos. Walking in the door takes you back to a time that most of us can only read about without sacraficing the modern conveniences. Pictures don't do the property justice as many details have been maintined from centries past. And coffee never tasted so good sitting outside by the pond at dawn while also walking the grounds/stables with a good cigar in the evening. Our host Donnie was very responsive and ensured we had everything we needed. Needless to say we had a wonderful time and will stay here again when we come back to Virginia and visit old friends.
This house is beautiful. My husband and I did a weekend away from the city to visit friends who live out in the area. Check in was easy. Check out was easy. I felt comfortable and at home. Close to so many cute shops and vineyards. We will be staying here again! The pictures don’t do the property justice with how pretty it is!
We stayed at this charming and welcoming farmhouse over the Christmas holidays. It was perfect, warm and inviting, a comfortable kitchen for cooking and dining, and a great location for exploring the rural countryside. Thank you for making our stay so amazing- we look forward to coming back!
Loved this farmhouse. A very comfortable and relaxing getaway. The hosts are very responsive. Couldn't be happier!A few things to be aware of, though. There are two bathrooms, both with beautiful old claw foot tubs. If you have limited mobilty or trouble lifting your leg to get in for a shower or bath, you may have an issue. Ditto if you have balance issues. (FYI The shower is in the upstairs tub.) The entryway and kitchen have beautiful brick flooring, but it is uneven, so again, those with mobility issues will want to watch their footing. Also, this is an old farmhouse, so there are steps (usually 1 or 2) to get into many of the rooms. Finally, the older part of the house has low ceilings, and taller people will need to watch their head when using the stairs. If you have any concerns, don't hesitate to ask the owners before you book. They are very helpful. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did! We certainly hope to return soon.
