Welcome to the Lay-Z Bear Cottage!
Experience the White Mountains on your vacation from this family friendly spacious 3 bedroom/2 bath cottage in Conway Center. The home is located 1/2 mile from Conway Lake, 8 minutes from North Conway, 12 minutes to Cranmore, 20-30 minutes to Storyland or Attitash. You will be centrally located to enjoy all of the local attractions like golfing, skiing, outlet shopping and more! The house is fully equipped with everything you will need for your vacation.

This home offers a rustic yet cozy environment with plenty of modern conveniences! The kitchen is outfitted with gas stove/oven, microwave, toaster/convection oven, coffee maker and all of the necessities to make your mealtimes a breeze. The main floor family room, loft family room and bedroom 1 all are outfitted with Smart TV’s equipped with Amazon Prime and FuboTV live, so you won’t have to miss your favorite show or sports game! High speed WiFi is also provided. The huge outside deck will provide the perfect setting to enjoy the untouched natural landscape behind the home as well as space for grilling outside (propane grill), dining outdoors or gathering around the outdoor fire pit.

All linens and towels are provided along with toilet paper, paper towels and many toiletries.

Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you will need for your stay. Plenty of dishware/silverware/glassware, knife set, cutting boards, sheet pans, oven mits, dish towels, crock pot, blender, coffee maker, French press, toaster oven, pots and pans, salad spinner, mixing bowls, strainers, measuring cups, cooking utensils, skewers, grilling utensils and much more!

Location:
Perfect location close to North Conway and all of the area attractions. 6 minutes from Fryeburg, ME, 8 minutes to North Conway including the outlet mall. Plenty of golf, skiing, children’s activities and more all within 30 minutes or less.
1/2 mile to Conway Lake - within walking distance or quick drive with parking - boat launch for boat, jet skis, kayak and canoes.
Please note: we live on a private well maintained dirt road and driveway. During the spring/rainy months it can be muddy and during the winter/snow months it is plowed and shoveled but can be slippery/snowy/icy. Please plan accordingly for NH outdoor weather.

COVID CLEANING PROTOCOL:
We use a professional cleaning crew to take care of our home and they complete the following actions on EVERY cleaning.
- Sanitize high-touch surfaces like doorknobs, light switches, remotes, stove buttons, sinks, toilet handles etc.
- Use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination
- Refer to cleaning checklists to thoroughly clean each room
- Provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay
- Comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines

Outdoor cameras are enabled for security and safety only.

The home is located at the end of a private road on a cul-du-sac and in a quiet neighborhood. Plenty of private roads for exploring the area walking or bike riding. Bring your kayak or jet skis to enjoy Conway Lake that is 1/2 a mile down the road. Or bring your boat and launch from the boat ramp at Conway Lake. There are many nature trails and hiking areas just outside the neighborhood and in the surrounding areas.

Please note: we work very hard to be respectful to our neighbors. As part time residents, we value our locals and relationship with our neighborhood friends. Please ensure you are equally as respectful. Conway has been discussing a Short Term Rental ban and we have high hopes that this will not be enacted. But we must ensure that we do our part. Thank you in advance!

Should you be traveling with more than The Lay-Z Bear can accommodate, our next door neighbor will gladly rent their A-frame cottage which sleeps 4 additional guests. A path connects our two homes. Please inbox for more details or inquiry.

Cozy Cottage weekend

Our stay was short, but the Lazy Bear cabin made it comfortable and calm. The beds were comfortable, the amenities were perfect, and the beautiful outdoor space was great. We will be back!

Weekend away

We had a great time here. The host was very quick to respond to any queries and the house was easy to find and very well equipped in terms of cooking/bbq. It was a great location - just a short drive to a grocery store and we enjoyed the nearby hikes and Echo Lake. The house was ideal for us (our youngest child was a 6 year old) and everyone enjoyed finding all the bear decorations.

We had an excellent time at the Lazy Bear! Everything we wanted to do was no more than a 15/20 min drive, and there were plenty of grocery/shopping options around for the lazier days. The property owner was great about communicating with us, and provided pamphlets for food and activities in the area. On clear nights we had a great view of the stars and it was so quiet and peaceful. Cant recommend this cabin enough!

Lazy Beat

Property was as listed. It met all of our needs. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking. We had to shovel our way to grill some steaks but that was not a problem. Excellent neighborhood for taking walks. We enjoyed snowmobiling and a ride on the snow train. We had a great time and enjoyed staying here.

Absolute Bliss at the Lay Z Bear!

We had a wonderful time at The Lazy Bear Cottage this week surrounded by the White Mountains of New Hampshire. My parents joined us from Scotland for a Winter Wonderland Getaway! We went tubing, on a sleigh ride, skiing and spent time just enjoying the coziness of the cabin, playing games and drinking cocoa! It was absolute perfection and we couldn’t recommend this rental property enough - We also very much appreciated all of the bear trinklets and touches throughout the cabin - We went on a bear hunt and counted 32 - we’re sure there are more! Thank you for a wonderful vacation and stay @the_layz_bear 🐻 💗❄️

Our winter get away.

This was just what I wanted snow, but no crowds and traffic. This is a rustic cozy warm cabin/cottage on a dirt road. But within 10 minutes you can be in Conway or North Conway. It was a quiet peaceful get away.

My husband and I have loved the New Hampshire area for as long as we can remember. We absolutely adore the area, people and activities and it became a bucket list item for us to one day own a home here. We found our perfect place and are so fortunate to share these experiences with our daughter…and with you!
We live in Plymouth, MA full time and visit our home in Conway as often as we can. Our passion is travel and experiencing new things and meeting new people. But at the center of it all is our daughter and family. That is our true passion.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the uniqueness of the house and the wonderful coziness we felt from the moment we walked in the door. The outdoor space and privacy was a huge plus for us as well. My favorite part of the house is the little windows in the bedrooms that open up to allow the heat and air to circulate….but I like it to be able to interact with others within the house. It makes it feel more cohesive. The multi levels and space are used so smartly and with so much attention to detail. You have to experience it to really understand the charm and character the Lay-z Bear possesses. We look forward to sharing it with you!
