About this property
Beautiful Log Home in the Smoky Mountains close to EVERYTHING!
4800sq ft log home on a beautiful 2 acre lot in Tobacco Branch Village! Big open floor plan with large kitchen, dining, and family room. Just added a huge playroom/2nd family room with shuffleboard table and arcade games. Whiskey Barrel table and chairs for more dining , more comfy couches and tv. Great for relaxing, or playing cards or games…. Upstairs has 2 very large bedrooms, a bathroom, and loft/office area with a brand new Queen sofa bed. All mattresses and most furniture are brand new. Also has a large fire pit area to make smore's or just sit around and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you! There is a small fishing/swimming spring fed lake right down the road from the house in the community also. This is a very friendly community,, that is very private yet close to all kinds of fun things to do. The NOC "Nantahala Outdoor Center is about 15 minutes away where you can go white water rafting, zip lining, kayaking, or just sit and enjoy watching all the action. There are also numerous restaurants, and The Harrah's Casino in Cherokee is about 20 minutes from the house. It also offers a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Guy Ferrari’s and a Brio Restaurant and other restaurants inside the Casino. There is boat rentals on Lake Fontana 5 minutes down the road. Mountain biking at Tsali Trails is 5 mins away. Bryson City is only 15 minutes away and has numerous shops, restaurants, breweries, Darnell Farms, and the train to enjoy also. There is also tubing down the rapids which is a blast! There is also the Smoky Mountain Railroad if you're interested in a train ride. Unplugged is a fun place on the weekends they offer live music, Anthony's is great for pizza, and if you're in the mood for Mexican, 4 Queens is the place! Ingles is the grocery store in town and will have everything you need. We also have a Dollar General less than 10 mins from the house for essentials or a last minute snack. I've been coming here since I was a child and I'm 60 now. This is the best getaway to make awesome family memories and most of all get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life and just RELAX!! This is our 2nd home not just a rental. It feels like you are home here... Very well appointed with EVERYTHING you need to be comfortable! If there is work involved, there are 2 offices where you can set up and have your workspace also. Our flat, very large driveway will fit numerous cars, or a trailer for your bikes. Very easy access in and out. I am available for any questions you may have as far as restaurants, or things to do and where. I hope you will make lots of great memories like we have while staying at The Sansquatch Inn!!

About the host
Hosted by Sandie Butler
I’m in native Floridian, but my family started coming here when I was 7. My dad built our first house in the 70s and then built this one because he wanted to have more room for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. It’s a place to come for peace and decompress and that’s why I call it. My happy place. You don’t hear ambulances airplanes, firetrucks horns beeping. Just birds chirping and peace. Sometime that’s just what the soul needs.
Why they chose this property
It’s quiet.. beautiful, tons of room to play, swim, hike, fish, everyone is friendly and and very safe… I came here every summer Since I was seven and now I’m 61 and I still come every summer… It’s a place to get out of the rat race, when you’re here you feel at peace!
What makes this property unique
We have PROFESSIONAL FIREWORKS right here in our community that are amazing!! This is the first year we won’t be here to see them and we are so sad… Just put a lawn chair in the front yard and the right over your head! And the house is amazing. We have made it very comfortable because it is our own private home when you walk in I hope you feel like it’s your home away from home.
