Enjoy your own private residence set on 10 acres centrally located to all of the Valley's finest restaurants, wineries and activities in this 2 bedroom 1 bath casita. Serene country setting set among horse ranches with striking mountain views, and yet just 1/2 mile from downtown Santa Ynez.! Country in the "city" -- the perfect location.
We are 3 miles from Los Olivos and 4 miles from Solvang.

All the comforts of home await you in this Spanish-style home complete with plaster walls, vaulted ceilings and terra cotta tile. It is completely private and separate from the main house where the owners reside with their 2 beloved dogs who are fenced in their own private yard.

The great room features a large picture window affording spectacular views of the property, a large gas fireplace with hearth and numerous windows to enjoy the beautifully landscaped grounds. There is a 43" Smart TV with Netflix and Prime Video, DirecTV service and a DVD player with a wide assortment of DVD's. High speed WiFi recently added. A secretary desk is the perfect place for your computer work.

The primary bedroom has a very comfortable King size bed to guarantee a wonderful night's sleep. Windows on either side of the bedroom provide views of the beautiful landscape. The second bedroom offers 2 twin beds which can be separated or combined to form one King size bed.

A fully stocked kitchen offers everything for the most industrious cook. Grind your coffee beans and enjoy a cup of coffee on the front porch or on the back patio. Full spice rack and cooking oils make it easy to prepare dinner at home.
Dining for 4 in adjacent breakfast area.

A lovely patio includes a table for 4, additional seating and an outdoor grill. Your covered carport houses a sports locker of sports equipment and a basketball hoop sits across the driveway.

This is the perfect getaway for families and couples.
Comfortable, convenient and tranquil........all the makings for the perfect vacation stay.

We are dog friendly with a 2 dog maximum for a flat fee of $30.00 paid at time of booking. Please bring your own beds/crates. NO CATS

Our annual girls trip was so much fun staying on the private property casitas. Our host was so sweet to have a welcoming sign and other special touches. We enjoyed the beautiful sunset from the comfortable back patio with a bottle of wine. We would definitely recommend. Thank you!

4th of July Getaway

Love going up to the Santa Ynez/Los Olivos area! Such a relaxing quiet place to go with lots of fun wineries to try when we want to go out and about. This is at least our 3rd time spending the 4th of July holiday up there away from all the loud illegal fireworks in our area that terrify our dogs (they love it up there too!).

Perfect Location in the middle of Central Coast Wine Country

Lovely property close to town but secluded enough to feel like you are in the country. Wonderful hosts, clean, & comfortable. Would highly recommend a stay for a few days or weeks!

Family trip to Solvang/Santa Ynez

We had an amazing stay at a beautiful casita. My husband, sister, niece, and 2 senior pups throughly enjoyed our stay surrounded by beautiful scenery and comfort. Our host was kind, thoughtful, and very personable. I hope to come up again soon! 10/10 one of my best family trips.

We had a lovely stay in Santa Ynez. We were greeted by the gracious owners. They were happy to see our dogs with us. It was a wonderful vacation home to relax and unwind. I intend to be back soon in Santa Ynez!

Great location near Santa Ynez

Our fifth time to this area and we loved it. Great location to biking and wine tasting. Could easily walk to town. Bed was very comfortable. Jeanne was welcoming and easy to work with. Cinco loved the acreage and visiting the neighbor cows every day!

Santa Ynez getaway with our puppy

Charming, comfortable guesthouse and an excellent location! We were there for a wedding at Koehler Winery, but it is close to everything, restaurants, wineries, shopping. Beautiful property, lots of trees, quiet and relaxing. The Hosts were very friendly and also helpful in recommending dog friendly breakfast locations. We highly recommend this Vrbo and would definitely stay there again.

This is a must if you're visiting the area!

We loved our stay at the Glover's Casita. It's really convenient to downtown Santa Ynez and short drive to Los Olivos and Solvang. The drive to any of these locations is beautiful through ranch land and rolling hills. The Casita is idyllic and we'd love to stay there again sometime. It has everything and so nicely decorated. Thank you!

Girls weekend!

Visiting Santa Ynez/Los Olivos is something I always look forward to! Our stay here was the icing on the cake! Lovely accommodations, which also included a large, private side patio for morning coffee, afternoon wine & snacks and evening wind down! Jeanne & Leo are incredible hosts! Great Family Getaway

This was the perfect place for a quiet stay after a busy holiday. It was our family of 4 and our Goldendoodle. There was plenty of room in the casita and tons of space for our dog to play outside. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The casita is in a great location. It has a full kitchen with everything you would need but it is a quick drive to restaurants, shopping and wine tasting if you feel like going out. Everything was very clean and the hosts were welcoming.

Great place for a wine tasting getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Santa Ynez property. It’s a lovely casita close, but not too close, to great wine tasting. The property is very relaxing place to just hang out but there are also some fun little towns close by to explore. Jeanne and Leo are gracious, friendly hosts – responsive to questions, respectful of your privacy and keenly aware that you’re on vacation. We had our dog with us and it was a great place for him too – lots to explore and a comfortable, quiet casita to take a nap in.

Wonderful casita

This was a perfect choice for us. The casita was clean and cozy and the grounds were so beautiful. The pumpkin bread that we were welcomed with was quickly devoured. We will be back!

Worth the drive and price

We loved our getaway at the Casita. The place was clean, cozy, quiet, and close to town. Jeanne and Leo were amazing and very warm and welcoming. Also very dog friendly and their two small dogs were really sweet. Check in and check out instructions were very simple and it helps the place is easy to keep clean. Definitely plan on going back in the future

Excellent week-long escape over my summer semester break

Exactly as advertised. Especially loved the choice of patios permitting sun-chasing (or avoiding) around the house. Plus, in an exceptionally windy spell we appreciated the ability to find sheltered areas. Wifi worked well, which was essential for my working vacation. As an anthropologist, I loved the new Chumash Museum in the Village only open for a month at the time of our visit. As a foodie, I was a hog in heaven spoiled for choice of fine restaurants, and vineyards, in the vicinity. If you have not been, a visit to the reconstructed historic Mission de la Purisima near Lompoc is a must. The period herb and plant garden there is incredible. The only improvement I would suggest is to re-paint the property number in fresh, larger numbers to make it more visible coming from the south. We, myself, friend Judy and my dog Dulce had a wonderful respite. Thanks to hosts Jeanne and Leo for sharing your ranchette with us and we hope to visit again soon.

Dear Jeanne and Leo, We enjoyed celebrating our 40 year anniversary in the wonderful surroundings of Santa Ynez. As dog lovers it was a pleasure to stay in a home that also loved our dogs and owned dogs themselves. We were close to wineries, the lake, downtown, Solvang.....really everything we could have hoped for. Wonderful owners Jeanne and Leo were amazing with ideas and places to go, favorites, and even introducing our dogs to theirs. Wonderful playtime. I would highly recommend staying at their casita. Pictures don't do it justice

This house has become our new favorite VRBO in the Santa Ynez Valley (and we've been coming up here for 8+ years. The house itself is clean, beautifully decorated, and very functional. Nice hot shower with a huge shower head, a small but well-stocked kitchen, and two bedrooms with comfy beds. We were there during a HOT week, but we slept with all the windows open to cool down the house and then closed it all up during the day when we were out and we came back to a cool house. Didn't need the AC at all. The property is idyllic. There are horses and cows nearby. We spent a while on the patio just staring at them. If you're headed to wine country, this is a great place to stay. Great restaurants in Santa Ynez, you're 5 minutes from Los Olivos and about 8 minutes from downtown Solvang. Just a lovely experience from start to finish.

This property was exactly what we were looking for. Peaceful, private, and surrounded by open space, it really felt like our own little retreat. Even though it’s tucked away and quiet, it was only a short drive to downtown Santa Ynez, wineries, and great places to eat.The house was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed mornings with coffee outside, taking in the fresh air and the views of the hills around us. It was such a relaxing and calming place to come back to after exploring the area.Check-in was easy, and the hosts were kind and responsive, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. We left feeling rested and would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I have lived in the Santa Ynez Valley for over 30 years. In all of our travels, we have found few places as beautiful as our own little Valley. We feel very fortunate to live in such a special place and look forward to sharing our experience with our guests.

Why they chose this property

The Santa Ynez Valley is the perfect retreat. A tranquil, gorgeous setting offering many activities and yet just a 30 minute drive to the beautiful city of Santa Barbara. Enjoy wine tasting at the numerous wineries in the area, shopping in the quaint Danish village of Solvang, a stroll through charming Los Olivos with numerous tasting rooms and shops, or dining at wonderful local restaurants. Hiking biking or boating/fishing in Lake Cachuma.
For golfers, the River Course at the Alisal in Solvang is a great public course. Monthly golf packages available.

What makes this property unique

This is a wonderful combination of privacy and convenience. We are situated on 10 acres, yet we are a very short walking distance from downtown Santa Ynez. A beautiful setting with a detached and very private second residence. Vaulted ceilings add spaciousness and charm and the large fireplace is both sophisticated and cozy. We've furnished it with everything you will need for your stay!
