House was nice for the big group. Enjoyed the stay, the weather was nice and used the swim area. Had all necessities. Neighbors were nice. Would highly recommend.
Amazing spacious cottage, great for a family trip. Mark was an amazing communicative host but hands off so that we could enjoy our time together. We would have already booked it again for next year if it was available.
Mark was a quick response host. Very pet friendly. There were plenty of kitchen supplies to use. The cottage is very close to the lake. We liked having the use of the paddle boards, and kayaks. We also rented the tritoon and pulled the “ Super Mable” inflatable which was very fun.
Excellent lay out for a lake house. Lots of open space in the common rooms and large comfortable beds in the bed rooms. Property was clean and host had great communication.
The property was very nice. It was right on the lake. You had space to sit on the dock or in the grass if you wanted to be outside. The deck was off the side of the house so we didn’t really use it but there was room in the back of the house that was great for sitting and watching the lake or playing games with family. The size was perfect for our family of 4. Larger families could work as well as there are bunk beds in two rooms. Would be tough for two families to share in my opinion. We also rented the pontoon boat for an additional fee. The price was reasonable and the boat was very clean and well maintained. We tried to rent a jet ski as well from them but unfortunately there was an issue with the jet ski so thankfully we were able to find someplace last minute to rent that. But the owner was very prompt with refunding the money for the jet ski
Location was amazing. Home was a bit dated. Amenities were great. Communication with owner was very timely and helpful. Price was also very reasonable.
We had a great time at the property. Was bigger and better than expected from the online photos and description. Served are larger group very well. Would highly recommend this property!
We had a great time on Gun Lake. The house has every amenity you could need and communication is prompt if anything arises. The lake is beautiful and was not overly busy, even on a holiday weekend. This is a perfect pick for a family getaway. We are looking forward to coming back next year.
We had a great time during our stay. The home offers direct access to Gun Lake in its backyard, with abundance of fun lake-related activities: private pier, jets and a boat (for additional fee), tow tube, etc. We were able to bring our dogs along on our vacation which is a definite plus. I will absolutely consider this as a destination for our future getaways.
The house was a perfect spot for our family vacation. Dated, but clean and perfect for a lake vacation. Nice open spaces in the dining room and sun porch. Quick communication and lots of lake toys and chairs to use.
Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, a well stocked kitchen and roomy enough spaces for a group. We enjoyed the water, the kayaks, the paddle boards and the floatation devices. So happy with the air conditioning as it was hot a humid when we stayed. Our family enjoyed the swing with our grandson.
Great place, loved the large rooms kitchen and porch. A little cramped sleeping with adults, teens and toddlers but we managed. Mark was great.

The house is well kept and right on Gun Lake. It was perfect for what we wanted. There was plenty of space, beautiful views, nice yard and dock.
Our host Mark was very nice and always available. Very easy to work with. It was difficult to leave such a nice place.
We enjoyed our weekend at the cottage. Our granddaughter loved paddling around in the kayak. Appreciated the many updates the owners have made. The beds were comfy and the air conditioner worked great. Thanks Mark.
This property has a beautiful view and we had a wonderful time. The neighborhood is very peaceful and that is exactly what we needed. The pontoon and the house were very clean and nice. The house has everything in it that you could possibly need. That made packing so much easier. We can't wait to rent it again!
We visited the area for a wedding of a friend. The booking, the checking in and the entire stay was enjoyable! The views of the lake from house is so nice! The house is clean but as stated in other reviews it is a bit of a rustic cottage and could use a few updates but that did not take away the comfortability of feeling right at home!Absolutely beautiful sunrise! I wish we could have been there for a summer stay because the lake looks like it would make for so much fun and it's just steps away from fun in the sun!Thank you Mark and Liz for opening your home!
We had a great 3 nights at the cottage. Kitchen was well stocked, water toys and pontoon rental was appreciated and Mark was a great communicator. The reason we did not give 5 stars is because the cottage is dated and the sun porch is musty.
We enjoyed our stay at this lakefront home very much. The living spaces are very roomy, with lovely views of the lake. The home was clean. The kitchen provided everything we needed and more. The outside deck and tree swing are perfect--my grandkids (all under 4) really enjoyed the swing. The local grocery store is only 5 minutes away, which was convenient. The home is on a very quiet street just off the main road. All in all this is a fine property to stay in for a Gun Lake vacation!
