A lovely, well-equipped, and clean lake home. Great place to come with kids, the swimming area is sandy and not too deep for little ones. Nice kitchen and layout includes a big, wonderful 4-bunk room for the kids. Spotted a few beautiful blue herons near the dock while there. The host is very responsive. Great for a large group - we had nine and felt there was room and spaces for all.

Well needed Gun Lake getaway

We rented for a week and had an amazing time. The cottage was amazing. Loads of sleeping space. Waterfront was solid for the most part, after our week I am sure it is packed down even more. I can’t think of anything that we could have used that the cottage was missing. We rented a pontoon and it worked like a dream. Definitely would come back.

We chose this beautiful cottage on Gun Lake because it was all on one floor, and just steps from the water, making it a great fit for our elderly parents who could join us outside for the festivities, or stay inside and still enjoy the view from the front bedroom, living room, or kitchen table. The 4 bedrooms were perfect for our family, kids, & grandkids, who came and went throughout the week. And the back bedroom is just huge, perfect for a large family, or for all the grandkids to spend the night together! The alley kitchen was spacious, the appliances worked well, and it was stocked with everything needed. The 2 ½ baths were impressive in the space, which did compromise the dining area (which seats 5), but for us it was well worth the trade-off, and we ate outside most of the time anyway. It has a full washer/dryer. The long dock was well-built, and our kids and grandkids enjoyed fishing off the dock. We rented a pontoon for the week, which was wonderful, so we didn't get a chance to use the 2 available kayaks, but appreciate that they were available with life jackets. There was plenty of outdoor seating, and we didn't even need our camp chairs. There was a storage box available full of yard toys and games. The cottage and the lakefront yard were absolutely wonderful! The hosts were kind and professional, and responded quickly to all of our messages. We highly recommend this cottage.
