Private lakefront cabin on beautiful Munuscong Bay

Maple Point Hideaway is a cozy secluded cabin on beautiful Munuscong Bay. This private lakefront property is the perfect place for a peaceful relaxing getaway. Early risers can catch a spectacular sunrise right from the screened-in porch, listen to a variety of birds, and watch the wildlife including deer, turkeys, geese, ducks, and our resident Bald Eagles. Start a campfire at night and see the brightest stars or possibly even the Northern Lights! Enjoy the beautiful lake view from the deck and watch for the downbound freighters on the St. Mary’s River or take out the paddle boat that is included (bring your own life jacket). The shallow Bay depths average between 4-6 feet and is known for its excellent fishing, there is a 110 ft. dock and parking available in front of the cabin for a boat trailer, and the public boat ramp is approximately 10 minutes away.
The cabin is fully furnished and sleeps up to 4 people. Two bedrooms have comfortable queen-size log beds and a full bath with a washer/dryer. Bed linens, pillows, bath towels, hand/dish soap, toilet paper, and paper towels are provided. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, silverware, pots & pans, including a coffee pot, glass cooktop, convection microwave oven, toaster, crockpot, and dishwasher. Also included with the rental are the use of a charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal), fire pit (bring your own firewood), 4-Adirondack chairs, picnic table, paddleboat, T.V. with an antenna (no cable), Blu-Ray DVD player, Bose stereo with Bluetooth, and a variety of CD’s, DVD movies, board games, and books.
The cabin is perfectly located for all kinds of adventures. It is less than an hour’s drive to the Soo Locks, Cedarville, Hessel, DeTour/Drummond Island ferry, Mackinac Island ferries in Saint Ignace, Kewadin Casinos, and Chippewa County Int. Airport CIU. Take a day trip to Tahquamenon Falls and Whitefish Point in under 2 hours.

Please note:
• 3-day minimum stay
• No Air-Conditioning
• No Wi-Fi internet, and the cellular signal is spotty at the cabin and in the surrounding area. You can use this opportunity to unplug and relax with no distractions.
• This cabin uses a cistern water well system. The water is filtered and clean. However, it is not listed as a potable water system. You will need to bring your own drinking water.

• No smoking inside the cabin or on the porch (please smoke outside and leave cigarette butts in the fire pit)
• No pets
• No parties or unregistered guests
• No loud noise or music
• No fireworks

Beautiful and spotless cabin on the water with stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere. Charming and perfectly appointed it has everything you could need. The bed and pillows were very comfortable as was the living room furniture. David and Suki could write a manual on how to do VRBO right! Would highly recommend :)

We really enjoyed our time at the Maple Point hideout. The setting is peaceful and secluded. The view of the bay is gorgeous. We loved taking the paddleboat out to explore a couple of the small islands nearby. We saw bald eagles!The cabin itself had everything we needed and then some. Screened porch had a wonderful view. Board games were a nice touch, we hadn't played "Sorry" since we were kids and had fun playing it as adults.Really sad to leave yesterday. Everyone we met in the UP was welcoming and friendly.

The perfect spot

The stay was fantastic and the cabin was amazing. It is right on the water with privacy. We loved how everything was labeled and how cozy the cabin was. We recommend this place to anyone looking to get away but also be within driving range of all the great spots the UP has to offer.

A beautiful spot

We are new to this part of the UP and felt very lucky to find this place on short notice. Cozy with a beautiful view. Very private with everything you need to stay in, but lot’s of interesting day trips close by.

UP Cabin

This was a wonderful getaway! Great cabin with beautiful views! Dock works out really well for boating. Loved bringing my portable grill and using the covered grill area. So relaxing, I would highly recommend it.

Late summer escape

Very clean, cute, and cozy cabin. Beautiful view of the bay, enjoyed the sunrises. Quiet surroundings. We did an early morning kayak and paddle boat trip. Water was a bit choppy at times but pretty to watch.

Relaxing Paradise

Lovely cabin on a lake

Property was very clean and all you need in the kitchen. Beds are comfortable with nice linens. View was great and we liked the screened porch. The cabin felt newly redone and well cared for. It would be nice to have Wi-Fi since cell reception is spotty.

Great Getaway!!

This is the perfect cabin for two, four or a small family. Everything was above expectations and exactly as presented on the website. Very clean, comfortable and the cabin has everything you need. Took us a bit to figure out the pop-up power strip in the counter but that was on us! Suki responded immediately when we had a small issue with door lock. Great place and great owners! Thank you Suki and David for a great stay.

We had an awesome stay. Very quiet and peaceful. We had everything we needed except an oven. Not a big deal but would have been nice to know. Maybe it was listed and I missed it. I would recommend this property to everyone that reads this.

Getaway for Two

We cannot say enough about this property and how friendly Dave and Suki are! This location was everything that we had hoped it would be and then some. Far enough off the beaten path that you’re afforded that feeling of privacy yet stores, shops and restaurants are within a reasonable drive. The cabin was extremely clean with extra amenities that we were not expecting (I.e boardgames, travel cups, movies and business directories). The view out over Munuscong bay is beautiful and a treat to Watch the sunrise over. The entire property is immaculate! We were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a family of turkeys that stayed around throughout the week. Overall this was an absolutely amazing experience that made our trip one for the record books. You will not be disappointed by making a reservation here and we will for sure be booking another stay!

Serenity now!!!

Excellent property and cabin! If you’re interested in a beautiful, peaceful, secluded destination, this is it! We enjoyed using the paddle boat, bonfires and soaking up some sun on the dock. I tried to swim but the muck made me squirm and my water shoes kept getting stuck in the muck, so no bueno for this girl. We caught one fish! The property is probably the most beautiful we’ve stayed at. About 45min from the soo. Deli Deli in town is the best!! The cabin was spotless and they provided extra toilet paper/paper towels (we normally have to purchase more on vacation) which was convenient. This was our first time to the U.P. and we enjoyed this cabin very much. It would be a great spot in the fall as well.

This cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Wanted a beautiful view, quiet, cozy and this place checked them all. We were there for only three nights and it felt like home. We went for our 5 year wedding anniversary and we could not have been happier! (Every year we get back into our wedding ensembles and retake pictures. The pier was perfect!)

This property has WiFi but the guest are not allowed to use it. Cell service was almost non existent. If we had an emergency we had no way to contact first responders.No oven.This property is beautiful, well kept and quiet. A great place to visit.

Picturesque Cottage and View

The cottage is clean and has everything you need for a great getaway. The kitchen cabinets are labeled and have plenty of dishes, silverware and cooking equipment.We loved taking in the view each morning and evening on the screened in cottage. While sitting on the dock, we watched a majestic eagle soaring. The beds are comfortable and the ceiling fans are quiet. We loved staying at Maple Point Hideaway.

Came looking for rest

I can't say enough good things! It was exactly as described and shown, but better. Quiet, clean, everything you need, location is great for sightseeing, even though I chose to stay put the entire 5 days! My only regret is that I didnt bring my kayak. Next time!
