You can rent bicycles for easy access to Lake Verkasjön, where you can try your luck at fishing with a fishing license. At Christinehof Castle you can learn more about alum mining and its history. In the castle's nature park, signposted routes bring you closer to nature. You can also visit the glassworks in Norra Bjöstorp, Glimmingehus, a medieval castle, the fascinating Ales Stenar fossils near Kåseberga and the highest waterfall in Skåne, Forsakar in Degeberga. In summer, the Ystad animal park and the Tosselilla Sommarland amusement park also attract children in particular.
