Wonderful, comfortable house to stay in. Bedrooms and bathrooms have what you need and the host kindly brought us swimming towels. The patio is perfect to relax on and watch the sunset. Having a ‘clean’ in the middle of our stay was very helpful. The host is very considerate and flexible and allowed us a later check out which really helped with our later flight. Ocean view is lovely at all times of the day. Stay here and you’ll love it!

The house was perfect for our friends. Had a wonderful patio for sitting watching the sunrise and sunset. The cake left by our host was delicious. Having Loucas meet us from the ferry with a taxi who took us straight to the house was so easy. AC is 2 bedrooms was very much appreciated. Towels and linen were excellent. After our flight was cancelled we had to quickly arrange to spend an extra night and everyone was very helpful and arranged it quickly for us which was appreciated. Great hosts and great house to stay in.

Es war ein Erlebnis jeden Abend die Sonne ins Meer fallen zu sehen. Das Haus ist tipptopp sauber. Dir sehr freundlichen Vermieter sprechen deutsch, was die Kommunikation sehr einfach macht. Die Betreuung vor Ort durch die Eltern ist überragend.

Ruhige schöne Lage , gut eingerichtetes Ferienhaus mit Meerblick, nah an mehren schönen kleinen Stränden. Sehr nette Vermieter die uns vom Hafen abgeholt haben und und uns mit Informationen und ersten Lebensmitteln versorgt haben. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner einwöchiger Urlaub.

Words cannot explain how AMAZING experience I had in Greece , special with how Welcome Vlasios kappos and his Father host us . His father is the most sweet and kind Human being I have ever met . Sunny, spacious, clean and comfy

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week in mid June and had a great time. Picked up at the port by Vlasis' parents who were really friendly and kind. They showed us around the house and had stocked the kitchen with lots of bottled water, coffee, eggs, milk, bread and homemade marmalade! There was lots of useful things at the house like binoculars, plug-in insect repellents, tealights and spare toiletries. The layout is slightly unconventional as there is no living room but the terrace is wonderful, with plenty of sun and shade all through the day and lots of seating, so we spent hours out there enjoying the beautiful views over to Telendos, including lovely sunsets. Downstairs is a good sized kitchen with all appliances, adjacent dining room, shower room and traditional Kalymnian raised double bed (separated from the dining room by a curtain). The outside stairs lead to the upper floor where there are two very spacious bedrooms, one twin and one double, and another shower room. The beds and pillows are all extremely comfy and all the linen was beautifully laundered. The whole house was spotless and clearly well cared for. Vlasis' mum Katerina brought replacement clean towels mid week and left a delicious homemade pudding in our fridge! His father, Loukas, arranged to take us back to the port on our last day. Vlasis answered all our emails questions quickly and helpfully and his dad was available by text during our stay. He speaks quite good English and Katerina speaks German. The house is an easy 10 minute walk from plenty of tavernas, the supermarket, bus stops, free drinking water dispenser and two pretty beaches, as well as the little jetty where the ferry boat to the gorgeous island of Telendos runs every half an hour till midnight. We hired scooters from 'Scooter-fun' in the neighbouring settlement of Masouri which was about 20 mins walk away with lots more shops, bars and restaurants. The guy that runs Scooter fun was serious about our safety, rented us excellent scooters and was very professional. We had a great time on Kalymnos, felt very looked after by Vlasis parents and enjoyed the house and the location very much indeed.

Fantastic little house in an excellent location

Stayed in May 2017 for a week with two friends for a climbing holiday. The house is just lovely and in a very good location. Amazing terrace with great views across to Telendos. Catches the evening sun too which makes it a great place to chill out with a beer after a day's climbing. Walking distance to a nice beach for swimming and plenty of decent tavernas. Highly recommended.

Wieder ein toller Urlaub auf Kalymnos

Bereits zum zweiten Mal sind wir nun in diesem schönen Ferienhaus gewesen und haben uns auch diese Mal sehr wohl gefühlt. Neben dem tollen Wetter und der guten Lage des Hauses mit fußläufiger Erreichbarkeit vom Melitsahas Strand und verschiedenen Tavernen sowie Einkaufsmöglichkeiten hatte daran sicherlich auch die Familie Kappos einen guten Anteil. Neben der Organisation der Transfers von und zum Hafen in Pothia wurde uns ein 'Starterpaket' mit Wasser, Brot, Wein, Butter, Marmeladen etc. bereitgestellt. Das Haus war, wie schon im letzten Jahr top-gepflegt, so dass wir uns sorgenfrei erholen konnten. Wir sagen Danke für die schöne Unterkunft und kommen bestimmt wieder!

Wonderful

The house is very nice. Well located, in a quiet and charming place, yet close to Masouri. The terrace with a nice view on the harbour and the Telendos island is a must ! The owners are really kind too. A pleasure to be so well welcomed in Kalymnos. I would definitely recommend this place ! For a bunch of friends or for a family it's far better than a couple of studios.

Eine entspannte Woche

Wir waren Ende Juli / Anfang August 2015 auf Kalymnos und haben uns in Vlassis Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus sieht unseres Erachtens sogar noch schöner aus als es auf den Fotos rüberkommt und ist prima ausgestattet. Wir haben vor allem die große Terasse genutzt und den Blick auf den Hafen von Myrties, das Meer und Telendos genossen. Das Haus ist in gutem Zustand und alles war sauber und man wird sogar mit einem Startvorrat an Wasser sowie einer Flasche Wein ausgestattet. Die Vermieter haben sich sehr große Mühe gegeben, waren sehr freundlich und haben uns auf unsere Anfrage sogar von der Fähre abgeholt und bei der Abreise wieder zum Hafen gefahren - ein ganz toller Service wie wir fanden. Zudem wurden wir zur Abreise auch noch mit einem Glas Feigenmarmelade bedacht. Bei so viel Gastfreundlichkeit kommt man gerne wieder! Die Lage des Ferienhauses ist sehr schön für einen ruhigen und entspannten Urlaub. Für das morgendliche Schwimmen sind wir keine 5 Minuten zum Strand von Melitsahas gelaufen, der zu dieser Zeit noch vollkommen leer war. Ein Scooter oder Auto empfiehlt sich für den Aufenthalt um mobil zu sein und sich ein besseren Eindruck von der Insel verschaffen zu können. Ebenso lohnt sich ein Besuch der linken der beiden Tavernen, wenn man den Weg vom Haus hinunter gelaufen ist - hier ist man sehr lecker, wird sehr freundlich bewirtet und es ist noch preisgünstig dazu - Daumen hoch! Wir würden jederzeit wieder in das Ferienhaus kommen - auch in größerer Runde mit Anmietung der zwei weiteren Studios.

I grew up in Kalymnos, vor many years I am living in Vienna with my wife and daughter.
Here in Vienna I studied Medicin and specialised in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. Currently I am working for the municipality mental health Service of Vienna and for my private praxis. One of my biggest passions is my home island Kalymnos. I am trying to spend my summer holiday every year in Vlasis house in Kalymnos. We spend most of the day on the beach. Very often we make day trips to distant beaches or small islets, we scuba dive, hike and sometimes we do some bouldering in Vathi.
I am organising the renting of the house, my parents take care of the guests and the house locally.

Why they chose this property

Vlasis house is a traditional small kalymnian holiday house. The main part of it goes back to the fifties. It was build by my grandfather Vlasis.
