THE SPACE Living space is an open family room to the kitchen and dining areas. The family room offers a large screen smart TV 2 and two side chairs and a queen size sleeper sofa.
Kitchen is nicely equipped with a single serve coffee maker, plenty of pots, pans, blender and baking sheets.
Bedroom Layout: Primary Bedroom is first down the hall. It has a king size bed, adjoining bathroom with a separate shower, jetted tub and two sinks.
Across the hall is a shared guest bathroom with a single sink and combination tub/shower. At the end of the hall are two additional guest bedrooms. One has a queen size bed. Second guest bedroom has a full-size bed and twin single size bunk beds. All bedrooms have smart TV's
Located in the side courtyard is a 12 X 28 inground pool. The outside cabana features a toilet closet, sink and small beverage refrigerator.
We supply a starter supply of bath soaps, laundry detergent and dish detergent. Linens and bath towels provided.
Note this home has a doorbell camera for security. Of course, there are no cameras in private spaces or the pool area.

Located on the south end of the Island, St. Simons Pier Village district serves as the downtown social hub and is a popular destination for shopping, dining and gathering on the pier and nearby lighthouse, playground and picnic areas. Overlooking the ocean and Jekyll Island across the way, you'll find the St. Simons Lighthouse and Museum, Neptune Park with its ocean side pool and facilities, playground, miniature golf course, and an oak shaded picnic area, fishing pier, public library and theater.
MORE INFO Beach Gear Included!: This home offers beach gear such as beach chairs and beach towels FREE for your use! Bikes, carts, paddleboards and more are available for rent locally, discount included. There are no fees or surcharges attached to your reservation.
Pets: This home is dog friendly for dogs 25lbs or less with $250 pet fee, 2 dogs max. Unfortunately we can't host puppies < 1 year old or breeds known to insurance carriers as 'vicious', please ask if you're not sure.
No Smoking: No smoking is allowed in the home, on the porches/patios/decks, or on the property in general.
Minimum Age: Must be 25 + to book, or age 30 + on GAFL weekend (last weekend in October) For GAFL weekend (last weekend in October), guests must be age 30 + or kids with their parents, no student groups. We cannot make exceptions for that weekend.
No Events: No events or parties. No overnight guests beyond the original booking group.

This property was near perfect for our group of 6. We've been friends for 20-ish years and enjoy long weekend getaways when we can. The pool and set-up of the house were perfect. The short walk from the beach was a huge plus. Overall, Perfect.

Great cottage, BUT DON’T RENT FOR THE POOL
Clean, well appointed cottage in a nice neighborhood. We paid a premium for this place because it boasted a pool that could be heated in February. We then paid an additional premium to ensure that the pool would be heated for the duration of our 9-day stay. But, sure enough, we arrived to find a freezing cold pool due to an “inoperative heater.” Clearly nobody from the management company came to make sure the heat worked before charging us the $100-per-day heating fee.
Management was indeed quick to send a tech out to diagnose the issue, and the tech told us that this particular heating unit was old, worn out, and probably hadn’t functioned properly in ages.
So instead of enjoying the primary asset that enticed us to rent this particular property, we got to stare at the liability of a cold pool for the entire week.
Management did refund the Heating Fee, but didn’t offer any other recompense for the fact that we wouldn’t have rented this place if we knew that the pool would be unusable for the duration of our stay.

Hi Doug, thank you so much for staying with us. You picked a great house, but unfortunately the pool heater did require repair. To clarify a couple of things, we DID check the pool heater prior to adding this to your reservation - in fact here on St. Simons these pool heaters are checked every few days - both by us and by guests using them. The heater had worked the week before and when we fired it up for your stay. But we later learned it had a freon leak - this was a heat pump-style pool heater. The leak was in an area that was not easily repairable, thus we couldn't get it running again for your stay. I apologize if the technician's report made it seem like a longstanding issue - we test these heaters to prevent this very thing but in this case, the timing was not helpful. I hope you'd try us again sometime.
