This was the cleanest house I’ve ever stayed in! The view was nice. The reason I gave 3 stars is because right next to the house was caged dogs. My husband counted 15. They barked all night and a good part of the day. Was so disappointing because as I said the house was wonderful but didn’t get much sleep. I wish the neighbors had had more consideration for the neighbors and treated the dogs better.
Very close to Shenandoah National Park, but remote enough to be very private. The horses in the field behind the house were a treat to watch.Very clean. Well stocked with plates, bowls, glassware and utensils (need to bring your own pizza cutter).Kara is a pleasure to communicate with, but does not hover.
Every aspect of this experience was awesome, the view was spectacular. The house was exceptionally clean with very nice furnishings. I have absolutly no negatives or areas of imrovement. I would recomend this house to anyone!!!!
Money well spent! When we arrived, the place was VERY CLEAN! The Mountain View in the backyard now THAT’S PRICELESS! The sunset in the backyard with the horse just freely walking around, and the sunrise in the front yard! Like I said, money well spent! We'll be going back there for sure! And it’s only 26-30 mins away from the Luray Caverns! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME, BOOK IT NOW!

Pros- location was near Shenandoah National Park entrance but not much else in this areaDogs welcomeNice views outback Check in and communication were seamless Inside cabin was relatively clean just pretty outdated Cons: no dead bolts on any doors so anyone with the code can come in anytimeNo blinds on bathroom windowKing bed mattress was terrible. Lots of dogs kenneled up around the property that barked randomly at night and whenever we went outside Dog poop in the front yardIssues with climate control in the cabin (host was willing to come take a look but we decided to leave a day early)
This property was a peaceful retreat for the Thanksgiving holiday. Amazing views and nature. Horses on the bordering pasture are friendly and add to the experience. Neighbors dog paid a visit and was also friendly. Cozy interior with a nice backyard for fires and amazing sunsets. Front and rear porches for a peaceful sit and your morning coffee. Host Kara is super friendly and informative. Was always available to answer questions. Will definitely be back again!!!

This small house is very cozy but doesn't have a washer & dryer which would make things a little easier on those who stay for more than a couple of days. The closest grocery store is about 10 min away. The view from the back of the property is of a mountain and the sunsets we saw were spectacular.
We had a wonderful stay! The space was very clean, and the linens smelled fresh and inviting. I especially loved the peaceful atmosphere and being surrounded by beautiful horses, it was incredibly quiet and relaxing. The host was easy to reach and very responsive, which made everything smooth and stress-free. The only downside was the water, which had a noticeable sulfur smell which I think is due to well water. Which is fine! Just not something I'm used to! Aside from that, everything was great! I’d definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind in a serene, country setting.
The exterior is very dark at night. Just hoping we arrived at the right house. The place was very clean and spotless. We are not use to not having a window covering in the shower/bathroom. The king bed should be changed out, you can feel the body impressions on both sided. It felt like we were sleeping in a W. I would have liked to have access to a washer/dryer if I needed some clean clothes, especially since it was a rainy weekend. The cabin was in the ideal location for the venue we attended Saturday night. I heard the horses overnight, but wasn't too sure where they were since I didn't see them the day before. But the next morning they came out to play. Overall, it met our needs.

Not quite what we were expecting
House (not cabin) was clean and comfortable but we were disappointed in the surroundings. It was more of a house in a neighborhood, albeit rural. Had a lovely view outback. We never saw a river or a garden. But what was most disappointing was the kennel next to the house. We weren’t sure what was going on, but several, yes, several, dogs of several breeds were pinned in and one looked very pregnant. We wish we had known that it was there because we would not have booked this property. The barking was not bad. It’s just that we were so saddened by seeing so many different dogs pinned in.

We apologize if your stay was not as expected. The cabin is exactly as pictured in the listing both inside and out. There is a garden located less than 100 feet from the house, however, your stay was in November, which is not gardening season. The river is less than 1 mile from us, on the way to the town of Shenandoah, we apologize if you did not make it to visit our lovely town! Many of our guests enjoy floating the river and fishing. The dogs are kept kenneled only when guests are present so as not to bother guests or their pets. They get plenty of exercise in the mountains behind the property when we trail ride our horses daily.
