Perfect location! Quiet and peaceful, but close to everything Door County has to offer. The fully stocked kitchen provided everything we needed. Our dogs had a great time, too!

This Sister Bay home was very clean, well stocked, and comfortable for our stay with our dogs. I especially appreciated the tile and wood floors, which made traveling with pets easy. Mike, the host, reached out when we arrived to make sure everything was good, and he was very responsive with answering my questions.The wooded lot made the property feel peaceful and private, and our dogs enjoyed exploring the outdoor space. Since the yard opens directly into the woods, we simply kept a close eye on them while they were outside. Overall, it was a nice, quiet spot for a relaxing stay.

A HIDDEN GEM! My wife and I stayed 7 days. We drove in from the road on a curved gravel driveway to a plain looking house in the woods. But the inside was wonderful! Wide-open living area, airy, bright, peaceful, well-done with a cozy cabin-like feel. Everything we needed was well supplied; we wanted for nothing. Door County is a great place to visit. The house was in a great location: Less than 10 minutes to Ephraim (Dry except for beer and wine) and our favorite Sister Bay (Recommended restaurants: LURE, CHOPS, THYME Marketplace). And 15 minutes from Fish Creek and Peninsula Playhouse which has professional actors. We saw Agatha Christie’s Mousetrap. My wife didn’t want to leave!

This well-appointed, clean home in the woods was PERFECT for our stay here with my husband and dog. Centrally located off a quiet country road, we were close to Sister Bay but never too far from any town near the end of the penisula. Check-in was simple and quick, something I always appreciate after travel. Check-out was easy as well.The property was lovely with a fantastic kitchen and all the dishes/pans you could need. The living area was huge with windows that let you soak in the beauty of the woods once you opened the blinds. The bathroom was great & had a deep tub and washer/drier available. The A/C kept us cool on some warm and humid days & nights. The deck was wonderful for coffee, and we even had a small campfire one night in the fire ring. We appreciated the games and DVD's provided, and had fun playing a spelling game. And we are always grateful when a host allows dogs. Thank you Mike, for letting us bring our Ozzy to your get-away.We had one small issue, and when we reached out to Mike he answered quickly, then had our quandry resolved in a few minutes. EXCELLENT communication and response. Highly recommend, and would definatly stay at this lovely home in the woods again!

The house and property itself was very clean; nice and simple amenities for a small family or group of friends. The location made it very easy to head into town on the fourth of July weekend. Definitely felt at home here. Overall, great stay!

Family Trip to Door County

We enjoyed our stay at the Cedars. The home was quite comfortable and well equipped. The property is also situated amongst beautiful cedar trees in a rural setting which was really nice. One of the highlights was the convenient location and close proximity to Fish Creek, Ephraim and Sister Bay. We would definitely stay there again!

Cute but spacious

This house was surprisingly spacious, very clean and quiet. Perfect for medium size groups (we had 7 people) and the fire pit allowed for a nice group bonfire hangout outside. Check-in and check out were very smooth. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay in the woods!

We had an amazing time at this secluded home in the woods. We planned a biking trip to Door County and were able to ride our bikes from the house to Penninsula State Park. It was great to hang out by the fire pit in the evenings and play board games, and the house was well stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Thanks again, Mike!

Our goal was to create a space where we could savor the excitement of local festivals by day and then retreat to our peaceful sanctuary by night. Here, you can bask in the serenity of the surrounding nature, gaze up at the star-studded sky, and listen to the soothing sounds of the forest. It’s the perfect balance of lively activity and peaceful solitude, providing a unique escape to enjoy the best of both worlds.

Every detail of this home reflects a personal touch and craftsmanship. The cabinets, each uniquely crafted, were handmade by the host’s father, showcasing a blend of skill and familial dedication. The trim throughout the house was meticulously fashioned by the owner, adding a bespoke elegance to each room. Even the woodwork, from the initial felling of trees to the final staining, was personally executed by the owner.
