Thank you for choosing our home for your lake vacation, and we hope you will come back again. We truly appreciate guests like you and your family.
Great cove with a nice, easily accessible dock for our boat. Wonderful weekend of fun on Lake Norman. The house was exceptionally clean. Kitchen and eating area easily accommodated our crowd.
We had a small group but house has plenty of beds and space for large family/group. Accurate as described. We didn't cook there but kitchen is well equipped. This was our second visit would rent again if we include more folks to share the cost. Nice dock and location on northern part of lake.
Beautiful location with deep water at dock for our kids to jump in. The new deck by dock and house were great additions. Owners were wonderful to work with and responded quickly to any questions. We would definitely recommend this property. The only suggestions I would have would be, better internet service if possible, fire pit outside, and maybe some upgrading needed inside. But, overall, this was a perfect getaway.

We appreciate great renters like Deb, and we truly hope she and her family will be back. I am going to contact Century Link to see if there is any faster internet available to us. The last time I discussed this with them, we did have the best they were offering. However, I am going to try again. I'm glad these guests liked our new decks. We remodeled the kitchen just a while back and recently added a new deck onto the house and a new deck attached to our dock. We are planning to paint inside and add new den furniture within the next few weeks. Please keep us in mind again.
Great property, everything was just as the description said it was. Mostly calm cove with nice dock, plenty of room for our 3 boats. Long driveway for our cars , quiet neighborhood. Will definitely be back if available when we plan our next trip. Communication with Christine ( host ) was excellent. She called us a couple times during our stay to make sure everything was good. Thanks for doing that

Thank you so much for your kind comments and for choosing our home! We hope that you will come back !
Property has a beautiful lakefront view and very nice dock area to enjoy. We found the home to be more spacious than depicted in photos. Home was clean. The only down side is that you need to bring own sheets and towels. Also the grill is in need of a good cleaning - decided not to use even with foil. Owners were very gracious and available for any questions. Would stay at this property again.

Thank you for your kind comments. I am sorry the grill wasn’t as it should be. We hope to be at the house again within the next 2 weeks. We have no renters until Labor Day so we will see about replacing the grill when we go back before the holiday. I am truly sorry about that. We just replaced the master bed mattress, bought a new flatware service for 12, new pots & pans and also just purchased a new tv for master bedroom. Thank you again for renting our home and we hope you will stay again.
Great location on the north end of the lake. Very quiet and beautiful. The dock was perfect for our pontoon boat. The owners were so nice and easy to communicate with. Comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen, right on the waterfront.
Would definitely stay there again!
Lovely family home with everything you could possibly need. The house is clean and well stocked. The deck and boat dock areas are awesome! There’s plenty of yard space for outdoor games, fun and water playtime at the boat dock. What more could you ask for? Christine is an absolute pleasure to work with, very attentive. We definitely recommend this property and hope to return soon.
We spent a wonderful 4 days at this property during Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful time, wonderful weather and a great experience. Christine was delightful to work with and was very responsive to my questions. We will definitely consider staying at this property again!
We had a great week. Originally booked for us and all kids/grands. Covid interrupted that idea. Thus just the two of us. We loved the outdoors. The dock is amazing. It is very quiet and almost secluded which we liked. We hiked everyday at Lake Norman state park, South Mountain and even local greenways. A bit of a drive but we’ll worth it. We mostly cooked in and didn’t eat out. Local grocery stores were easy to find and well stocked. House was great - very functional but not fancy. I do have to say that the well water was not my favorite but I know it can’t be helped except with perhaps a water softener with the ability to take the red out. The kitchen is very well stocked compared to other houses we have rented. Neighbors are friendly. Overall a great relaxing week at the lake.
loved the location. nice deck and back yard. plus a covered deck on the lake with chairs so could watch boats and get rocked by the waves. close to neighbors but they acted like we didn't exist, so....
neighbors dogs do bark so that could be a bother to some people.
would stay again.
Very smooth and easy rental experience. Communicative and accesible owner. Perfectly equipped property in a very quiet location close to a new Publix grocery store. Deep water dock on a beautiful cove. Would happily rent again.
Beyond what we expected. The area is great and neighborhood was very friendly, thanks to one for the fresh tomatoes. Would definitely stay again, the whole family had a great time
Our expectations were by far exceeded woth our stay!!!! The pics don't even come close to doing this beautiful place justice. The owners communicated well. The place was as described and we had NO issues at all. We had a full house of 10 that stayed with us and we had more than enough room for everyone. All was clean and well taken care of!!! A perfect lakehouse for a week vaca woth the family
This house was perfect for our group of two families traveling with kids age 3-11. There was plenty of room for 10 of us and house was equipped with basic necessities. The owner was great to work with and very quick to respond to questions. The dock was wonderful in a deep water cove, with plenty of room to dock two boats, while still leaving plenty of room for the kids to enjoy fishing and swimming. Cell phone service is not great at the house, but there is WiFi. The only downside we found was that when you have 10 people trying to connect devices to the WiFi, it didn’t work as well as we hoped. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing stay at the lake.
The perfect location for our family reunion. The house was clean , tidy and fully furnished with everything we needed. Christine was great to work with and ensured everything was ready for our arrival. They even left kayaks for us to use. The dock was great for fishing too. Location is convenient to town, hiking trails,, vineyards. We would highly recommend this lovely lake house.
Great home with deep water dock and great owner communication
We had our daughter and a few college friends who felt like they had to eat real food and get off a college campus while they did online classes since the college had gone online and had to stay in their dorm rooms with only one guest allowed. They just needed to be able to be in an open environment on the lake and have home cooked meals. We really loved our stay and felt very rested at the end. The students did keep me on my toes but they also were very polite and cooked all the meals and did all the dishes! Christine was out of town but was accessible at all hours and able to assist every time we had a question, Would definitely stay again.

About the host
Hosted by Christine O'Neal
We purchased this lake house in 1998 and have rented it out since that year. We began going to Lake Norman with friends who owned a house close to ours and fell in love with the area. Our children have grown up learning to water ski at this lake, and we have many great family memories attached to it. We now have grandchildren, and they are making memories on Lake Norman.
Why they chose this property
Our family enjoys lake activities such as water-skiing, tubing, fishing or just going for a relaxing boat ride. The house is only about 10 or 11 miles from the city of Mooresville, NC, where there are lots of shops and restaurants. It's also a very easy drive to Charlotte, NC.
What makes this property unique
We love the quiet neighborhood and friendly neighbors. The house is located in the back of a cove, away from the busy main channel of the lake. The water level at the dock is very deep, therefore, you never have to worry about getting your boat in and out when the lake level is low.
