LOCATION and Serenity! Do you want privacy and be only 1 mile from downtown Gatlinburg? Then Black Bear Hideaway is your place! We would love to host you! This cabin is in a wooded, nature filled neighborhood on a 1/2 acre lot.
We love hosting people at our cabins! We want your stay to be fun and stress free. Read our reviews and see what others say. We appreciate the opportunity to host you at our family's cabin. EZ check out, load dishwasher and put remotes back. No long chore list!
The space
Find yourself surrounded by tall, majestic Smoky Mountain trees! Little Pigeon River is right down the street! Professionally decorated cabin, private master suite with newly renovated bathroom and its own screened in porch, Game room, Insta worthy Mural, and much more! Sleeps 8 in beds.

Parking- 5-6 vehicles, depending on their size, will fit in the driveway and carport. If that many cars are here, the ones close to the cabin will need vehicles moved to get out.

2nd floor- Master bedroom with King bed, private full bath with soaking tub, private screened deck, Roku TV
1st floor- Bedroom 2 has a queen bed with Roku TV
1st floor- Bedroom 3 has a Log queen bunk bed, sleeps 4
1st floor- Game room, living room, kitchen
Master Suite
Upstairs is the spacious Master suite. A King bed with new cooling gel mattress and a just renovated bathroom with soaking tub. Enjoy the Roku TV or relax with a beverage on the screened in balcony.
Bedroom 2
First floor bedroom with new queen cooling gel mattress. The Roku TV and soothing decor will create sweet dreams of the Smokey Mountains. Enjoy a private entrance to the back porch.
Bedroom 3
First floor bedroom with log queen bunk beds! A huge hit with the kids yet sturdy enough adults.
Kitchen
Our kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, plates, glasses, silverware, cookie pans, knives, toaster, crockpot, blender, coffee bar and spice rack. The table seats six with two bar stools at the counter.
Gameroom
On the first floor in a separate room off living room. There is a shuffle board table. A fun activity for any age. There's an arcade game with 60 games including Pacman, Galaga, Dig Doug, Donkey Kong and more! Board games and scrabble on the wall.
Outside
The hot tub is covered. There are 2 separate porch areas on the main level. Third porch is upstairs off the master suite. The front porch has a swing and rocking chairs. The back porch is great for relaxing. The mural is the perfect place to take your Insta photos! Hand painted and designed by a local artist just for Black Bear Hideaway.
Dogs are welcome! First dog is $75, second dog is $25. Owners are asked to clean up after dogs inside and outside.
Black Bear Hideaway is in a woodsy area. We have pest control come every month plus additional quarterly visits. Our cabin has been professionally sealed. You might see bugs despite these efforts. Bears are frequent visitors to the area.

No smoking inside
Guests must be 20+ or children staying with parents. If you are younger than 20 and would like to book, please message me.
Starter sets of shampoo, soaps, toilet paper and paper towels are provided. You may need to purchase more during your stay.
Charcoal, lighter fluid and matches are not provided.
For your protection there is a security camera at both front door and carport entrances.

Why they chose this property
This is a unique property! It was built in 1940. The cabin was torn down and rebuilt in 1991. There is one wall that was left from the original cabin. It has lots of trees! Many guests enjoy walking to downtown.
