Welcome to Sunflower by the Bay! Here you can enjoy a beach vacation or stay put and enjoy the pools and amenities/golf in the beautiful resort community of Bayside! Situated on a quiet street, the house backs to a beautiful pond where you can watch the sunset from the spacious deck. Or, grab a rod from the garage and try your luck at fishing (the pond is stocked!). There is plenty of room to spread out in this open floor plan and relax with two living areas on the main floor, as well as a large loft living area on the second floor (think kids hangout or movie night). Prepare your meals in the well-equipped gourmet kitchen with granite countertops, gas stove, and stainless-steel appliances, including a double oven, or enjoy one of the many nearby restaurants including several options within the Bayside community. Also available - Beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach toys, beach wagon, fishing rods, extra fridge in garage, baby floats, baby booster seat with tray and more!

Bayside is just a short 4-mile drive to Fenwick Island and Ocean City beaches and attractions (or go a little further to Bethany, Dewey or Rehoboth!). The Commons and Sun Ridge pools are located within walking/short driving distance (resort passes required to use amenities like pools and available for OPTIONAL purchase - see community amenities and fees below).

1st floor - Master bedroom (king) with master bath, powder room
2nd floor - Bedroom 1 (queen), Bedroom 2 (queen), Bedroom 3 (1 twin, 1 set bunk beds), Bedroom 4 (1 set bunk beds), Loft in common area with sleeper sofa (queen), Full bath with tub/shower combo

LINENS - sheets/towels - NOT provided - Please bring your own sheets and towels (blankets and pillow provided). If you need a linen service - try Gale Force Rentals, they have a door drop off.

PARKING- one parking spot available in the driveway in front of our townhome. Additional parking steps away in the community. No street parking on our street.

SUPPLIES - we stock the initial rolls of paper towels and toilet paper, but otherwise please bring your own, plus soaps, toiletries, garbage bags, etc. Harris Teeter is minutes away!

SHOPPING/RESTAURANTS:
Within Bayside, Signatures offers year-round full-service dining, and 38 Degrees at The Point is open seasonally. A Harris Teeter grocery store, CVS pharmacy, PNC Bank, Fox's Pizza Den restaurant, wine/liquor store, ice cream shop, and McDonalds are conveniently located at the entrance of the community. In addition, you'll find many great dining and shopping options within a short drive of Bayside including Crabcake Factory Bayside and Captain Mac's!

COMMUNITY AMENITIES:
Lots to do for everyone!! Bayside Amenity Passes are required to use amenities and are available for OPTIONAL purchase (not included in the rental rates). Amenities include tennis courts, indoor and outdoor pools with snack bars, hot tubs, splash zone for kids, fitness centers, kayaking, paddle boarding, basketball court, volleyball court, nature walking and biking trails, 18-hole Jack Nicklaus signature golf course (separate fees), and more. Bring your poles and go fishing in one of the stocked ponds or try your luck at crabbing from the pier. Enjoy live music at one of the scheduled events throughout the community or attend a performance at the Freeman Arts Stage (tickets sold separately) located just within the community entrance.

Resort Passes are required for guests ages 5 and older to access the pools, fitness centers, sports courts, kayaking, and paddle boarding in Bayside. Purchase is optional. Amenity fees are priced per person and vary by the time of year (see below). The Health & Aquatics Center and sports courts remain open year-round. Outdoor pools close during the off-season. Golf is available for an additional fee.

**Amenity passes must be requested at minimum 10 days prior to first day of rental. Once a request is submitted there are no refunds for guest passes that are not used, lost, or stolen. **

We had a wonderful stay. House was so comfortable, everything you could possibly need of a family vacation. Especially well equipped kitchen, as we are a family that makes most of our meals at home. The upstairs is the perfect kids space. Bayside is a wonderful community, the guest passes are worth it!

Unfamiliar with the area, we decided to stay at a Bayside Resort. Becky was a wonderful host and provided so many details to ensure we had a great stay. The home was spacious and clean and there was so much to do in the community. Becky helped us navigate beach access, parking, pools, and a lot of other things that were very helpful. Wonderful Place for Families

The house is beautiful, It was so clean and well stocked for all of our needs. We had 5 Adults and 2 little ones, The Booster chair and gate at the top of the step was so appreciated. Everyone loved being able to fish in the pond in the back yard! Becky was very helpful, and communication was great with any questions we had! Thank you for an amazing week!

We had 13 of us and it was comfortable could have used another bathroom at times and I agree with others the pullout shouldn’t be used by light sleepers but we all survived! The pools, kayak area and the neighborhood was beautiful!! Short drive to several beautiful beaches - Bethany Beach was our favorite! Kitchen had everything you would need and lots of fun extras in the garage that was nice to have. Becky was top notch with communication! She was also kind and pleasant to all my dumb questions! Thank you for a great time, lots of memories made!

We had the most incredible time at this house! From the moment we arrived, Becky made us feel like family. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and her warmth and hospitality truly set this stay apart. The house itself was even more impressive than we expected. The photos don’t do it justice—it’s so much more spacious and beautifully maintained in person. We never felt crowded, and there was plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy. The pool was a standout feature! It was sparkling clean, and we spent hours swimming and in the jacuzzi. Parking wasn't as bad as other reviewers suggest. Overall, this stay exceeded all our expectations. Becky’s kindness and attention to detail made it unforgettable. We can’t recommend this home enough and can’t wait to come back!

Five Plus Place to Stay

I recently booked this home for my 14 family members. We had never been to Delaware before. This house was beautiful, clean, had everything we wanted. Bayside is a huge resort with a ton of activities to do. (You pay extra for the resort passes, I am so glad we did.). It is also so close to Ocean City, Bethany and Fenwick Beach. Coming from Long Island we have beautiful beaches, these were just as lovely, clean and not very wavy. There was plenty of room for all, the beds were very comfortable and lots of sitting areas. We never felt crowded. I highly recommend this place. The owner Becky was in contact with me and always answered my questions very quickly. She was wonderful. Definitely book this home, you will not be disappointed!

Lovely home, walkable, and clean neighborhood

Great for large groups/ families like mine. Becky responed immediately to any questions I had. Lots of games, space to spread out, a view of the lake, and sunset. The beach chairs, umbrella, and wagon were so nice to have. Bikes need some maintenance. Parking was a little stressful since only one car can be in the driveway. You will definitely get your steps in! Hauling sheets and towels were a first for me. And since we already paid for passes, I was not paying for linen service as well. If there are a lot of you, and you dont mind looking for parking and walking, than you will enjoy this home.

Hi! We are Becky & Chris - owners of Sunflower by the Bay. We're from MD and wanted to have a place within driving distance and close to the beach to have our family vacations. This house was perfect for us - and big enough to invite along additional family and friends to enjoy it and make memories along with us. We wanted to open our house to let others experience the Bayside community and the peacefulness of our quiet street in a beautiful neighborhood. The pond behind the house was a bonus and it's beautiful to sit on the deck and watch the geese, sunsets, or enjoy fishing. When we're not busy watching our kids play sports at home, and especially during the summer, we love to visit as well!

Why they chose this property

From the moment you drive in to the very well-kept and beautiful Bayside Community you'll find it's a lovely change from the hustle and bustle of day to day life. At the entrance of the community, you'll see you have shopping easily accessible - like Harris Teeter for groceries or a CVS for any last minute needs, an ice cream and pizza shop, and much more. The Freeman Arts Pavilion is an amazing venue to listen to your favorite artists perform, and it's located right in the community. Bayside offers, with purchase of resort passes, amenities like pools, paddle boarding, kayaking, crabbing, basketball, tennis and pickleball courts and a fitness center with an indoor pool. Bring your bike or use one of ours in the garage to explore - definitely head down to the Point to see the sunsets and the pier with a view of Ocean City, MD and the Assawoman Bay. Right in the backyard we have a beautiful pond with a fountain - you can sit right on the deck and watch the kids fish, or see the geese waddle into the pond. The community also offers multiple restaurants like Signatures and 38 Degrees. Even after all of that - you can decide to head to the beach which is just right down the road! Either take the shuttle from the community to the Fenwick Island State Park or hop in the car and head to your favorite beach - there are so many to choose from along the coast - head south in Maryland to Ocean City or north in Delaware to Fenwick Island, Bethany, Dewey or Rehoboth! After a week or weekend here, you won't want to leave!
