Being a little bias, because I bought a tiny home from ITH, where this home is located. I enjoyed my first ever stay in a tiny home. Warm and cozy like a cabin, which makes since being an all wood tiny home. Water pressure good, Insta hot water great, large refrigerator, washer worked great, Dryer was out during my stay, community safe and nice. You will be on concrete pad, about 16 ft between homes, quiet neighbors. I say stay here and enjoy a great community and more.
This tiny home is in the cutest community ever! We booked this place to see what the tiny home community is like. We loved Interacting with the neighbors and their dogs. We enjoyed our stay but can honestly say this life isn’t for us. We own way too much stuff to ever make this a way of life. We had no major issues and everything worked as it should. Loved it! If you’ve ever wanted to try the tiny home life, do it!

I couldn't stay there because the keycode wouldn't work and I was unable to contact the landlord.

Cleaning
When we arrived late that Friday evening there was probably 50 flies in the home. We noticed there were already dead flies on the floors. We looked to see if there was an opening in windows or doors for the flies to enter. We didn’t see any. When we returned Saturday evening the same thing was there. Tons of flies were in the home. We were very grossed out and disappointed in that aspect of our stay.

Amanda thanks for your review for our Mtn roots Tiny cabin in a great community setting in the Foothills of the Smokies. You was our first guest in this cabin and we just had one day before a petst control company inspecting and spraying it for the first time for the fall time. In the fall time you got common house flies/black flies, lady bugs and some stink bugs that are normal appearance for a few days and if you had let us know during your stay we would had been more than happy to send our cleaning staff over to clean.
The tiny home was just as described and very easy to get to. We had never stayed in a tiny home before, so it was quite an experience. We enjoyed our stay there as it had everything we could have needed. The only two issues are 1) it is on a gravel lot and it was raining all weekend. So there was lots of mud, and shoes are not allowed in the home, so muddy socks and feet. The other issue we had was that the check in and check out information was never added to VRBO. We arrived after 9pm to check in and we had no idea how to check in and we contacted the property owner listed, and it was sent straight to voicemail. As there are no reviews of this property or of this host, I was certain we had been duped. We began looking up local hotels and I decided to contact VRBO customer service. They were able to get in contact with the host, who then sent me a message on how to check in. It was a lot of unnecessary stress at the start of our vacation. There was also no information provided on what to do with sheets/towels/trash/etc. I am sure that they will get this situation resolved for the next renters. I definitely recommend this property!

We are glad you enjoyed Mtn Roots Tiny Cabin in a new Development of the Tiny House Community . You are right the small ditches and landscaping on the property is still a work in progress and should be finished by end of 2021.
We was unaware that VRBO did not send out the Automated check in infos and directions. (normally they send it out 2 weeks prior). Thanks again for your stay and come back to see us in the beautiful Smoky Mountains
We rented this to tour the incredible tiny homes. Also to experience the tiny home lifestyle. After staying here we have decided that this community is not for us. It isn't very friendly. Nor is it finished. Just houses plopped in a parking lot. The tiny home is super cute! Just not what we are looking for in a home site.
Over all it was great and I enjoyed myself but if I was to be super picky I would have to I would point out that the bathroom leaked when raining, the washer and dryer was a great Amenity but the dryer never got hot so it took about a day to dry your stuff. My reservation was for one week and was left with 2 garbage bags and nowhere to get rid of trash, the fire pit was full of water logged wood and usable and the grill was left full of ashes. All in all I would come back and do it again, the community was friendly and welcoming and the price was great.
I like most of the aspects of this property! There was only two things that I didn’t like as much. One was where you slept there was no blinds on the windows so the sun comes in in the morning and wakes you up(not a big deal if you’re into that sort of thing!). Two, getting to the bed if you have the stairs down you can’t get to the bathroom, unless you go around outside or lift the ladder. Other than that this was an amazing property!!
This property was just as described; cute, quaint, cozy, clean, and an overall amazing experience staying in a tiny home. The owners were quick to respond to any inquiries and the neighbors were very welcoming. We explored surrounding areas of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge about a 40 minute drive and also visited Knoxville. There are many stores and restaurants within a 10-15 minute drive so very convenient but also somewhat remote and quiet. We traveled with our cat who also thoroughly enjoyed the tiny home and exploring every nook of the house. Everything worked as expected and we were pleasantly surprised at how much room we actually had! The only issue we encountered was the water pressure in the shower is not that great, but it was not really that much of an issue for us, we made it work. The large front window in the unit is amazing but wish there was a better view. Overall we had an amazing time and the property was great, would definitely recommend and possibly visit again if we return to that area.
