About this property
Quintessential Nantucket Beachfront Cottage
Charming waterfront 2 bedroom + loft cottage in a quiet harbor neighborhood on a sandy beach in Nantucket.
This quintessential cottage with a fantastic beachfront and panoramic water views is a rare find in Nantucket. It accomodates 6 people, with off-street parking. The queen bedroom is to your left when you enter the cottage and a 2-twin bedroom is to your right. The short hallway opens up to an airy, pine-planked, cathedral ceiling living and dining area with panoramic water views.
There are hardwood floors throughout, with a tiled kitchen containing a full refridgerator, microwave, dishwasher and stove. A ladder in the hallway leads up to a separate loft bedroom with 2 twin beds suitable for children or adventuresome adults. The kitchen is adjacent to the dining area and the full bath is off of the kitchen and a hot outdoor shower. A pull out sofa bed in the living area is available for additional sleeping room.
There is a hot outdoor shower off of the wrap-around-deck. The deck faces the beautiful sunsets in the West. The property is adjacent to the neighborhood-shared beach access stairs that lead down to the sandy, shallow harbor beach. There are 4 beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler and a beach umbrella at your disposal. The gas BBQ, patio table and loungers allow you to enjoy your meals with direct views of the famous Nantucket harbor and sunsets. Your stay in this cottage will make for an unforgettable Nantucket experience.

About the host
Your host
My husband and I purchased this property in 2007. Some of the locals say it's the best location on the island given our water and sunset views.
Why they chose this property
It's great for families, given the shallow, sandy beachfront, or great for couples seeking solitude outside of bussle of town.
What makes this property unique
This is one of the few beachfront properties on the island. It's five minutes from town if you want to enjoy all of Nantucket's activities and sights or far enough away if you would prefer to avoid the crowds.
