Villa Maria which built thinking of the well-being of our guests for a dream holiday, It has a magnific view over the Atlantic sea, the mountains and the village Candelaria. We are located about 17 Km from the airport; 19 Km from Ponta Delgada, the main city of São Miguel; 5 Km away from the thermal springs, Ferraria (in the ocean); About 10 minutes from the famous lakes of Sete Cidades and therefore the beach Mosteiros
Villa Maria is located in Candelaria, Sao Miguel, Azores, which built in 2015, it is two semi-detached houses, modern, comfortable and welcoming house, where you can relax, with panoramic sea view, mountains and town. Each house has its private area, only the swimming pool and the garden are shared. The house is self catering.
The evenings are magic and you can enjoy the wonderful sunsets and stars, surrounding by a peaceful silence and nature songs.
Having your meals on the terrace surrounding by the green and blue landscape makes your day worth offers you unforgettable moments!

Great place to stay and enjoy!

Beautiful house! It had all the comforts of home and very clean. The hosts were superb. Very friendly and attentive. We will definitely reserve it again.

We had a wonderful stay at Maria & Sergio's accommodation in peaceful Candelaria and wanted for nothing. The accommodation was very clean and well maintained and offers all the amenities of a modern apartment with a large terrace and stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, where you can watch beautiful sunsets. We would love to come back to explore more of Sao Miguel – the magical island.

Property was in a beautiful spot ocean view always felt safe. I love the balcony you could sit out. Could walk around the neighborhood. The only thing is, I wish there was a toaster. The dune buggy ride was amazing. Such a kind and thoughtful thing to share.

Lovely place, very comfortable, well equipped kitchen, big terrace with comfy chairs and beautiful view, garden is very nice, too. Owners were very helpful and easy to communicate with. We appreciated the food and drinks left for us when we arrived late. If you are offered a ride with Sergio in his super car, don’t miss this chance, it was one of the highlights of our stay.The location is a bit away from everything, which means you need a car to stay there.

Wow! Uau!

Sergio and Maria are wonderful hosts and the property is essentially a hillside estate. The amenities are all fantastic. Sergio and Maria went the extra mile to give us insights on activities around the island. If you're making a trip to the Azores, this property should be high on your list.

Wonderful place for wonderful vacation

The owner of the accommodation (Maria & Sergio) gave us a warm welcome and many good ideas for hiking tours to explore the island on its best. The accommodation is clean and equipped with anything you need. At least has a wonderful view. The location is absolute silent. A nice place to calm down

Loved every minute!

Amazing vacation! The island is gorgeous and full of surprises. The villa was perfect for us. Having coffee in the mornings and wine in the evenings on the porch or in the garden enjoying the view was my favorite. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had everything necessary for a perfect stay. Hope to be back one day!!

Exceeded Expectations

Very clean house in Candelaria neighborhood. The host checks you in personally and stocks the kitchen with basic groceries and fresh bread! He offered to deliver fresh bread to us daily if we wanted. The place was clean and so peaceful. It is nicer than the photos make it out to be. The garden is beautiful and the house is clean and very well stocked with everything you need. The host also offered a free tour in his buggy! Definitely take him up on this, it was great!

Everything about this property is perfect. Sergio and Maria are such friendly, nice people. The space is clean and well stocked with an awesome patio/deck with gorgeous views. Spent lots of time, breakfast, dinner, happy hour out there. Nice pool. Convenient to everything. Peaceful and quiet, We absolutely loved it here and will be back in August 2024.

amazing, large apartment with everything that you need. great view of the ocean from every window, very large terrace with loungers and table, chairs. very friendly hosts with lots of recommendations about local attractions., parking spot for a car, the host welcomed us with some food in the fridge, a bottle of wine, fresh fruit and even some fresh eggs. highly recommended.

We couldn't fault this property at all, the hosts spoke very good English which was a bonus to us. Sergio gave us a map and highlighted all the good places to go, also we went out in his buggy to places we would not of been able to get to. Will never forget the bread delivery hung on the gate every morning. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful

The owner was amazing. The place was clean, fresh and new. The backyard was huge, we where not here long enough to enjoy and we were busy seeing all sights. The house came with all u needed for a weeks stay. Beautiful view and quiet neighbourhood which was great after a full day of hiking. Alittle far from town but worth the peace and quiet.

Home away from home

We had a really amazing stay at Villa Maria. Sergio and Maria went above and beyond to provide a very inviting, super clean, and tranquil atmosphere. All of the welcome treats were most appreciated, as was Sergio's kindness and expertise in explaining the area to us. The tide chart was a great help when planning on swimming at Ferraria. The neighborhood was picturesque. I enjoyed having an audience of cows while in the pool and having breakfast on the patio listening to birds and looking out at the ocean. It was perfection! we are already planning our return trip.

Villa Maria1 Candelaria

Form the beginning to the end of our stay was PERFECT!!! Sergio and Maria are exceptional hosts. Our accommodation was very clean and attention to detail goes above and beyond. Fresh bread everyday if you choose and a lovely welcome basket. The view of the ocean from everywhere on the property is AMAZING!!!! Sitting on the hill and enjoying the privacy of the space and the vista was a highlight of our stay. The location of Villa Maria made it easy to visit many of the Island's attractions. My wish would be for more SUNSHINE to enjoy this wonderful Island. Next time, I am sure.

Warmly welcomed in a clean home!

We looked at many hotels and VRBO (and their competitor) listings and happily booked this apartment. We were warmly welcomed with fresh fruits and basic food stuffs to ensure an easy transition. The hosts went out of their way to ensure we felt comfortable, sitting us down with a map of the island and provided us some recommendations after inquiring about our interests. If you are planing on hikes, be sure to check out the guest book where other visitors highlighted their favorites, including duration and difficulty. The apartment is INCREDIBLY clean and has warm touches with fresh flowers and everything you may need (including shampoo, body wash, and laundry detergent). There is a terrace that you can enjoy your meals on with an ocean view. We took advantage of the barbecue on the property as well. The hosts are incredibly helpful and offer ancillary services to ensure you make the most of your vacation. We hope to see you again!!

Werden heel vriendelijk door de eigenaar ontvangen met veel tips over de te bezoeken bezienswaardigheden op sao miguel. Tot onze verrassing was er koffie thee brood beleg en fruit etc. Ook was er ter welkom een fles heerlijke rode wijn. Kortom Prima!

Wir wurden sehr freundlich von Sergio und Maria empfangen und haben hilfreiche Informationen über verschiedene Ziele erhalten. Mit dem Auto haben wir diese besucht und sie waren sehr schön. Die Unterkunft, der Garten und die Terasse waren super und wir wurden mit einem gefüllten Kühlschrank, Obst, Brot etc. überrascht. Der Ausblick beim Frühstück und Abendessen auf der Terasse war toll. Die Insel ist perfekt um verschiedene Dinge erleben zu können. Wir wollen gerne wiederkommen.
