About this property

When you see the purple door you will know you have made it to your vacation spot. You will find stunning views any time of the day. Then at dawn or dusk you will think you are in a painting. This property has a full kitchen, livingroom with 2 couches, two nice size bedrooms with queen size beds, there is a full bathroom with a garden tub with a shower. Then you will find a spiral stair case that leads to the 3rd floor with a couch, another full bathroom with a shower, another queen size bed and the best view you would ever hope to find. On the outside you will find a balcony and a private peer.

Please message me all the names of the guest staying at "The Purple Door." I must report this information to the office of Captain's Cove. If you are interested in using the amenities within The Captain's Cove Golf & Yacht Club they charges $15.00 a day, per person or $75.00 a week per person. I need to inform the Captain's Cove within 14 days to yor stay if you plain to use the amenitied. Thank you, for your help and understanding.

Please take your trash to the Horntown Convenience Center and Recycling located at 5536 Fleming Rd, Horntown, VA 23395. There will be no charge.

All about the view and wonderful neighbors

Had an Awsome 8 days , views were amazing from just about everywhere in the house. Fishing was good from dock, crabbing was slow, a little late in the season. Beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The restaurant just down the street had very good food, especially the fish tacos. No issues at all during our stay. Beautiful club house, indoor pool and golf course.

Best of Times

My husband and I had the best of times. We came with my daughter and her family. Staying where we were there was a friendly atmosphere. The home was clean, and my pets were allowed. We had some trouble with the tv service but Kelly along with the owner called me on the phone. Kelly then came by and fixed it for us. Right away at that. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy!

Purple Door Stay

Property has a great view of the water across to Chicateague. I could have sat on the deck looking at that view all day but the heat wouldn’t let me. Way too hot outside. Kelly was tremendous answering any concern. Only negative is if you want to go to Chicateague it is a 30 minute drive.

Upstairs bed was uncomfortable and either the mattress or pillows had an awful smell..linens were rewashed..wasn't that. Lost power during one night..smoke/fire alarms went off because of the power outage..thank God my son in law knew how to turn off till power was restored because it was deafening. Needed more dining area..only 2 chairs for 5 people wasn't ideal. The air-conditioning ductwork needed repair late one evening..that was fixed in a very timely manner.
