Had a few issues but host said they would be taken care of after we leave. Kitchen well equipped. Internet was unable to get tvs to work. Loved the bears every day.
We had a great time here. Tucked away at the very top of a mountain-we saw bears around the house everyday we were here. Kids loved it. Hot tub, pool table and arcade made it a great place to stay with a 12 and 14 year old. Close to attractions!
The chalet was lovely. Our family was very comfortable there. There was a lot to enjoy-beautiful scenery, a pool table, a hot tub, and games. The kithchen was well stocked, and the decor was beautiful. The owner was very responsive and knowledgable about the area. It was also close to all of the fun activities and the National Park. We enjoyed our stay.
This has been our favorite place we’ve stayed in the Gatlinburg area- it is up higher in the mountains and we saw several bears and felt more secluded. Our kids loved the bunk bed and arcade, and the hot tub was clean and had a beautiful view. The host was very responsive and helpful. Our kids didn’t want to leave!
We were myself, daughter and son-in-law and 3 offspring. We truly enjoyed the house, the design, color scheme, pool table, hot tub, cleanliness and fully outfitted kitchen (down to 2 corkscrews) made us feel at home immediately. We had a great time watching various groups of bears visit nearby, but always behaving well. The road up from Gatlinburg IS quite twisty-turny so get there before dark! We can all recommend without hesitation.
I loved the location and the views. The house had plenty of room for 7 people. Enough room for privacy while at the same time enough room for family meals and games.
A+
The area was just absolutely beautiful the wildlife was excellent as we had bears every day within 20 to 30' 40 feet of us and even walking around our deck in the morning as we drank our coffee it was fantastic. The host was phenomenal. She took care of anything we ever needed.
We had a great time staying in this chalet. Irene quickly responded and resolved our needs. We saw many bears (9 in 1 day) and enjoyed all the amenities that were available. It was worth the reservation and helped make our vacation restful.
Excellent place for our family! Kids and adults all loved it! It was in good condition, clean, and as advertised. We had a few minor issues that we got very quick responses and resolutions for. Highly recommend and would stay here again.
The cabin was as advertised and made for a spectacular family vacation that was filled with relaxation. The communication with the owners was answered very quickly. The views from the back deck were awesome and the sounds of nature were top class. We did have bear encounters everyday with them even coming on to the deck a few times. The neighbors were wonderful and pleasant, they would tell us about bear sightings around the cabin
This was a first time for us staying in a chalet, we loved the view and the separate bedrooms since we had 3 generations staying. The owner is very responsive and hospitable, the chalet was clean and the small bedroom attached to the downstairs queen bedroom was great for our smaller granddaughter to be close to her parents.
Our group of 6 had a wonderful relaxing stay at the chalet. Everyone enjoyed the pool table and it was actually nice to have it, the kitchen, and living room all open in one area (this way we could all do our own things but still be together). The location was great....short drive to Ober Mt. and downtown Gatlinburg, yet far enough away from all the hustle and bustle.

Host was nice, cabin needs repairs
The cabin was clean but in need of repairs. The flooring is coming apart, the bottom floor was freezing and we could not adjust a thermostat. The middle floor was better climate controlled but no one was able to stay in the loft as it was very hot! My husband is an inspector and noticed that the chimney is leaning and at risk of falling. It had a major crack that has been covered up with caulk which is not a fix. He was concerned. The appliances were nice and worked well. Our host was very nice and helpful.
We brought our grandsons for their first visit to Gatlinburg. This chalet was the perfect place for them. They were never bored. They enjoyed playing pool, video games and a never ending game of Monopoly. The chalet exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, well stocked and in a very quiet area. We would definitely stay there again.
We stayed in this cabin for a weekend getaway over Valentines and it was perfect for our little group. Home is very spacious which was a nice surprise so we did not feel like we were on top of each other. It came stocked with almost everything we needed and between the pool table video game and hot tub we had plenty of stuff to keep us occupied while we were there. It’s located not far from town at all which was convenient!! While in the hot tube we could watch the lift from OBER mountain go up and down side of the mountain which was fun to see. Our only complaint is the roads are pretty steep getting up to the cabin but that is by no means the fault of the host or cabin. Just be prepared for some twist and turns and steep climbs. We would definitely stay again!!
Upon arrival there was a sock in the couch, a grape in the couch cushions, smelled like dead mice in the bunk bed room, other than that it was an awesome stay. Gary and Mike the neighbors were very nice. If you want to see bears this is a great spot!!
