This condo will be the perfect spot to serve as your home base during a fun-filled Sugar Mountain vacation! The wood-burning fireplace keeps you nice and toasty as the snow falls outside, and when it warms up you can step outside onto your balcony and soak up the sun. The mountain views are stunning, no matter the season. After a long day, you can relax inside with a show playing on the flatscreen TV or make a delicious meal in the lovely full kitchen. The community also offers its residents access to the shared pool, hot tub, sauna, and gym, so you won't be lacking in things to do even if you never leave the property! This suite is perfect for ski enthusiasts, as the home is located only three miles from Sugar Mountain Ski Resort and is close to many other resorts, such as Grandfather Mountain, Rough Ridge Lookout, and Linville Caverns. If you're visiting during the warmer months or are not a skier, the area is also full of hiking trails to explore.

During any high peak time, renters have to park in the lower lots and be shuttled up to the top. Guests are allowed to load and unload at the building before parking in the lower lots if they prefer, especially during high peak times and holidays. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Fourth of July, Highland Games, Willy worm festival, Land of Oz. Parking up top is for owners or with approval from Sugar Top Resort. Sugar Top Resort makes these decisions based on the occupancy.

In the area for fall hiking. Condo well located and nicely equipped. Didn’t use the resort amenities but the condo itself worked well for us. The parking with shuttle was a bit of a pain but doable.

The condo was dirty! Everything was dirty! I had to clean the toilets, counters, and kitchen. I didn’t contact Vacasa because I knew it would be a waste of time. I have rented a VRBO place that Vacasa has at the Gulf so I know they are not accommodating to issues. The lobby staff were nice and the shuttle people deserve a raise! They are the best!

Great Property on Top of the Mounttain!

We really enjoyed this property. It sits about 5,000 feet above sea level. The view is lovely and the overall facility is very nice. I really enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and steam room. I highly recommend this property.

This unit is nice and clean - great long range views from the deck. Plenty of games for the family to enjoy if you're stuck inside. The building itself needs an upgrade - mostly the pool/hot tub/gym and sauna areas.

I had a really nice place, very clean and a great view. The price was excellent. But taking a shuttle to my car every time I came and went was a pain and it made checking in and out more of a pain, especially when multiple other people were checking in and out.

Fantastic View! We enjoyed our trip so much! I was grateful for the abundance of paper products. Extra rolls of toilet paper, paper towels, napkins & mini shampoo and conditioner. NO a/c in the unit, which came as a surprise. But they had three fans you could use in the rooms. The community heated pool and spa were a great bonus after long days of hiking and ziplining.

Beautiful views, comfortable living room furniture although the furniture could use some cleaning, stains and marks from previous guests. Plenty of space, pretty much everything you need in the kitchen, altogether it was pretty nice. Pool was nice and spacious. Having to shuttle back and forth to the parking lot was not ideal but the weather wasn’t terrible so it wasn’t as much of a hassle as it could’ve been. My daughter loved the decor with the cows.

VIEWS BEAUTIFUL. Condo dirty and Vacasa offered to clean or resolve, but did not follow up. There were used tissues on the window sill, crumbs on the floor and on furniture, beer cans and cigarette butts on deck, toothpaste splattered in sink.

Cleanliness

Check in was easy, parking is different as you have to park at a lot lower and be shuttled up and down. When we got there the condo the beds were left as they were from the previous renters so we had to wash everything, went to make dinner and there was a old pizza left in the oven. Reached out and all was said was “sorry for the inconvenience” will not rent from the property management again if this is how they hold their cleanliness.

Condo cool but service lacking

The checkin went smoothly and we received quite a bit of communication prior to our arrival. The keyless entry didn’t work and we were locked out of our unit on the morning we needed to leave. We were told a local rep would contact us within 15 minutes and it was 2 hours later before a customer service rep contacted us.

Had an amazing stay checking out the surrounding areas. We skied, tubbed and checked out the alpine coaster. The views were amazing. The shuttle service was a hassle but just factored in more time to make it to our desired location. Loved the inside pool and hot tub. The Condo was beautiful and spotless. Would highly recommend

We had an amazing time at Sugar Top 2212. The condo was perfect. From the wood burning fireplace, great appliances to the Amazing View of Grandfather Mountain. The staff at Sugartop are great. The facilities are all well kept. Love the indoor pool. The skiing at Sugar Mountain was perfect.

Condo needed a deep cleaning

We arrived at the condo and it has not been cleaned. I guess the cleaning staff had a hard time catching up. We left and got back at the evening to leave them some room for cleaning. Even after they came to clean, the tile floor remained sticky. Towels and bedsheets were missing too (only four sets out of 5). We had to call Vacassa again and next day they dropped off a plastic bag with few bedsheets and towels in front of the door. Besides the mentioned above, we've noticed that, in general, the condo needed a deep cleaning. Dust was very, very obvious in places that are very visible. Bottom of oven was just as dirty as it could get. Washing machine was full of dust. Opening the lid of the washing machine made you don't want to use it. We did not use it for that purpose. It would be nice to have at least one hair dryer available at the location. Vacasa staff was really responsive but obviously the cleaning company was not the best one they could have hired or there is a shortage of people. We don't know that. Also, Vacasa needs to make sure that little things are available, i.e. hair dryer, baking pan etc. Price was the best of all other companies online, therefore it was worth it.
