Great location for being close to everything including the stdium. Beautiful area. Only complaint was we did not know there was construction being done right next to us and all of the truck beeping and construction noise started at 6 am was loud. We did not have a pet but there is a nice park within a 100 feet to walk them if needed.
Very cozy and plenty of amenities provided by the host. Only issue is that the listing on VRBO stated "parking on-site" when in fact it wasn't. Only street parking and paid parking was available. I messaged the host about it, and it should be corrected in the future as to removing the "on-site parking" on the listing. Overall, great little place.
My biggest disappointment was the property management company. They nickel-&-dimed every chance they got. I checked in about 30 min early & they prorated their 20/hr early check-in fee to collect every last penny. Then they charged me the full 20 for a late checkout even though I left at 10:40 a.m. If you’re going to prorate my early check-in, then I expect a prorated refund for my late checkout. It goes both ways. I’ve stayed in countless hotels & vacation rentals & have never experienced a company charging for virtually every extra minute you’re in a property. Most hotels offer a complimentary 1-hour late checkout & many extend the same courtesy for an early check-in when available. This fee structure is absurd. I hope they don’t nickel-&-dime the homeowners they represent as much as they do their guests. The location was great & convenient for exploring Charlotte. The home was clean, but the listing needs to be much more transparent. There is no on-site parking, which I somehow completely missed in the listing. More importantly, they should rename this place “Stairs of the City.” You walk in & it’s a flight of stairs to the kitchen, another to the living room, another to the bathroom & another to the bedroom. Every living space is on a different landing. Need water? Stairs. Forgot your charger? Stairs. Need the bathroom? Stairs. Everything requires stairs. If you have mobility concerns—or simply don’t want to climb stairs all day—this probably isn’t the place for you.
