Idyll-Lodge is in a secluded location yet walking distance to town, only 1/2 mile to the heart of town and even closer to the north side of town where there are many shops and restaurants. just sure to save some energy for the journey back as its coming home is uphill. Live it up in town without worrying about having to drive home later, as there is no Uber or Lyft in our mountains.

One with nature!
The cabin is beautiful and in the best location. Close to town yet submersed in nature surrounded by trees and a creek right in the backyard. The cabin is situated on a huge lot with ample parking and space to play catch, ride bikes, and just explore. My boys were entertained all day exploring the creek and lounging on the hammock. The rooms are all well sized and updated with nice bathrooms and kitchen. We played shuffleboard each night and board games. The kitchen is well stocked with seasonings and oils which was much appreciated! Easy walk into town and restaurants but we enjoyed cooking in the gourmet kitchen each night. The dining table was my favorite space as we ate dinner with views of the forest all around us and then soaked in the hot tub each night. Would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone. Pack n play, baby gate, and booster seat were much appreciated as well! Would stay again for sure!

Strawberry creek forever
The kind of place that brought tears upon leaving. And we’ve been coming to strawberry creek for years. Clean, well organized, (labels!), upscale appliances, comfortable beds, family friendly home with lots of space, but who wants to spend anytime inside, particularly when the creek is running. This almost palatial home is right on the creek and if you time it right, you will hear the creek as you sleep at night. Mental health break for everyone. No tv in great room downstairs meant we brought out our guitars and sang. But plenty of screens, especially upstairs, for the couch potatoes. Great family time negotiating this years’ wild, chaotic creek path during snowmelt. And then a fabulous jet in the new small, hot tub on the porch to melt the aches and pains away. None of us actually walked into town, but it is a two minute drive, and still you feel as if you are in the complete and utter wilderness. This place has it all. Privacy. Trees. Boutiques and good restaurants a close walk or drive. You may have an entire itinerary planned, but don’t be surprised if you just want to sit down in the hammock and read a book while you look out at the creek. Hosts respond literally immediately if you have an issue. Easiest in and easiest out at a VRBO in a long time. We will be back. True vacation.
