Enjoy all the conveniences of a well-appointed home-away-from-home where you can start your day off on the right foot with a cup of fresh-brewed coffee out on your private balcony. Prepare quick meals or snacks-on-the-go in the well-equipped kitchenette, or stream your favorite channels on the smart, flatscreen TV. There is also a gas fireplace to make your stay even more pleasant, especially during the winter months. Guests are also granted access to a variety of shared amenities such as a firepit, grills, sauna, fitness room, seasonal pool, and hot tub as well as a nearby stretch of private beach.

Free high-speed WiFi, however like most mountain towns, internet access speed is dependent on the size of the local population.

Guests staying at a South Lake Tahoe rental must adhere to all City Ordinances. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m to 9 a.m. hours. In addition no open flames, no smoking, and parking permits apply. Maximum occupancy cannot be exceeded under any circumstance. Fines of up to $2000 will be imposed by The City of South Lake Tahoe, without warning, for any violations.

Dock details: Dock/pier is for sightseeing and to see the beautiful view of Lake Tahoe. No boat docking or boat tying of any kind is permitted. No fishing or diving off the dock is permitted.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Not happy

The room was near the road where traffic was constant and noisy. The bed was soft and created a backache for my wife. The coffee maker did not include filters for making coffee. The balcony faced portions of the lodge that was in disrepair. The smell of the deodorant spray used in the lodge was nauseating. For this, the fee of $850 for 3 nights seems overpriced. Finally, you charged for a late check-out, something I have never been asked to pay for.

Worth it

Location and property was perfect for our weekend at south Tahoe. Minutes away from heavenly and nice 1 hour scenic route to North Star. Room smelled a little weird, but overall a nice place to stay for a weekend snowboarding trip

Pros/Cons

The location was great for So Lake Tahoe, especially having a somewhat private beach. That was not correctly advertised, as anyone could walk onto this part of the beach but there were signs up for private. It was overpriced for the value. This unit was right above the busy and loud main Lake Tahoe Blvd, although it did have a pool view. The room appeared to have had a light wipe down but not a thorough cleaning and the sunlight was blinding in the morning despite having the shades closed. It is a great touch to have a kitchen, although we did not end up needing it. This was our first time using Vacasa and I would think about it again but a hotel would still be my first choice as these are pricey for what you get. It was also concerning that if you needed something you couldn’t just speak with the front desk on property after hours but only Vacasa. Luckily we didn’t need anything. Also the parking could be a major issue, advertising that it comes with parking isn’t accurate as you have to say a prayer that one will open in any of the lots and the garage. I am happy overall our reservation worked out and no real concerns.

The unit is not accurately marketed w on line pictures

The pictures from the web site list the unit overlooking the pool with pine trees lining the property. The background behind the trees is whitened out and very misleading. The unit is right on the highway, which is not pictured, or disclosed. there is no way you can sleep with the door open, or even have coffee on the deck. The noise is so loud, and across the guest is a motel sign starring down at you.
