Absolutely beautiful little cabin with everything we could have asked for. Owner was super fast to respond with questions. Super romantic western log cabin. Super quite, with stunning views of the mountains and sunrises and sunsets Can’t wait to come back!!!!
This was my 4th visit to this unique property near the Beartooth Mountains. The location is perfect for side trips to Cody, Yellowstone, and Red Lodge MT. You also can’t miss the 68 mile drive on the iconic Beartooth Highway. I’ve done all those things multiple times, so now I come for the overwhelming peace, quiet, and absolute beauty of the land. Priceless.
The cabin and our getaway was absolutely amazing. Nice remote location yet close enough to get to where we needed. Only downfall was the shower height for my tall son, but everything else was great. I could move into just the porch!!!
For an inspiring escape, consider a stay in a rustic cabin in the breathtaking landscape of northwest Wyoming. Nestled in a stunning area surrounded by endless outdoor adventures, this charming cabin embraces traditional western decor and offers a cozy atmosphere. Our experience was truly delightful, thanks to the incredible host, Deborah. While the shower area may be compact, it’s a part of the cabin's authentic charm. With comfortable sleeping areas and views that inspire awe, it's a perfect retreat for the soul.
We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was perfect for our group of 5 family members. The area is so unique, peaceful and quiet. The beds were comfy. We did not cook but the kitchen seemed adequate. Our only struggle was the shower and tub area. For the two men it was a small space with a low ceiling - difficult to move around the tub. Also the hand held shower sprayer was difficult to use easily. The decor was interesting and unique to the area. So quiet and peaceful.
A great place to stay the cabin had everything you needed and I wish I could’ve stayed longer… My dog Doc who travels with me did not wanna leave that place… I will be back again !!!
Such an amazing place to stay for us. We love the coziness and remoteness of this cabin. It is the only place we have booked twice in our adventures. The sunrise over the Big Horns from porch is awesome!!

Another perfect getaway
This was our second visit, and it certainly will not be our last.
The Ranch was even more quiet and comfortable than we remembered.
A perfectly relaxing stay, just what we needed.
We are already planning our third trip!
.
This was my 3rd visit to this property in the last 6 or 7 years, so I knew exactly what to expect. You have complete privacy at the cabin if you just want some relaxing downtime to read, hike, fish, or sit on the porch and watch the storms roll in. You are close enough to explore Yellowstone, the Beartooth Highway, Red Lodge, and of course all that Cody has to offer. This property perfectly fits my needs and there are no surprises. The property owner is very easy to deal with. It won’t be my last visit.
What a great weekend! Wished we could have stayed longer. The cabin has so much character. Views are awesome and an excellent getaway from big city life. Thank you for hosting!
Was here for a week for work and drove 3 hrs round trip just to enjoy this place
I've traveled for 30 yrs working and we stay in alot of bnb type properties and this was the most beautiful scenery I have yet to see. It is very quit and peaceful. It has everything you need for your stay. It's clean and stocked with wood for inside fire are outside fire. Has a grill on site to use. Hope to visit it again.
Beautifully decorated peaceful getaway. We were there during a snowstorm and the owner reached out to us offering a free night to keep us safe. Thank you Debbie for looking out for us.

A peaceful little cabin away from it all.
Our family enjoyed 4 nights in this little cabin. We took a nice hike near the cabin that our family just loved. It's a quiet place and a great spot to admire the stars at night. We drove into Cody a couple of days, which was about a half hour from the cabin. We also drove to Yellowstone two days and had many adventures there. As long as you don't mind driving a little while from the cabin you have access to beautiful sights.

Fabulous cabin near Beartooth Mts and Cody
My family and I stayed here a week beginning of June, and our kids still rave about it. The cabin was very comfortable, and the view is breathtaking. You do need to duck some if you are tall, but my husband still has all his brain cells. Not only was the inside great, but the outside was great too. We really enjoyed cooking s'mores outside at the fire pit, and coffee on the back porch in the morning.

Glad this was a memorable experience for the kids! I hope they will never forget their "out west" experience.
There is a low beam going through the bathroom, cowboy's definitely must have been shorter!

Absolutely brilliant
We had an amazing time staying at the Go Away Ranch. It was a beautiful cabin and the setting was very peaceful. It has everything you would need for your hideaway in the mountains. Our host Debbie has done a marvellous job with the cabin and could not have been more helpful. The whole process from start to finish could nor have been smoother. We would recommend her and the cabin to everyone. Thanks Debbie it was a great stay.

Thanks Ann! Loved having you all the way from the United Kingdom and so happy our American West did not disappoint!
Safe travels!
This cabin is exactly as described. It is secluded, quiet, charming and rustic. My wife and I had a wonderful time. We saw many mule deer and white tail deer in the area. We also saw a herd of elk, just past the cabin at the entrance to Shoshone National Forrest. Do not miss Clark’s Fork Canyon, it is beautiful and we saw big horn sheep and antelope there. As mentioned in other reviews, there were low beams in the cabin but I am 6’2 and I didn’t have any problems at all. One of the best!

Great Cabin!!!
We loved the cabin! It had plenty of room and everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. It was clean and looked exactly like the pics. It’s in a beautiful area but keep in mind if you’re going to Yellowstone you’ll have a 1 1/2 hour drive from the cabin. If you want solitude with great views this is the cabin for you. We had 2 deer come into the yard early one morning. I would definitely recommend this cabin to friends and family. Thanks Debbie!

About the host
Your host
I am a photographer and horse trainer. I travel a lot, that is how I found the unique area of Clark & Buck Taylor's cabin. I always travel with my dog's,a German Shepherd and a lively Jack Russell. They LOVE to come out to the ranch and go hiking. My photography was fortunate enough to grace the cover of Cody & Beyond magazine & feature pictures of the area & the Cody Rodeo. I spend my Summer's photographing some of the West's most memorable rodeo's but, the Cody Stampede is the most special of all!
Why they chose this property
I loved the fact that I could be close to the mountains and yet when family and friends visit we could be close to TWO tourist towns and Yellowstone Park. We never run out of things to do! The mountains are so close and beautiful, and there is a wonderful view in every direction being up so high. Also a big factor is that even though the ranch is private , it is paved up to where the property starts. I can hike right off from the cabin & the Shoshonee National Forest is in the backyard. BLM land backs up behind the cabin so there is plenty of open space. Hiking in the Clark's Fork Canyon is such an experience, hearing the rush of the river, spotting wildlife, glorious views. Picturing the cavalry chasing down Chief Joseph and his tribe many years ago. Best is getting up, sipping coffee and watching the sunrise over the Big Horn's 80 miles to the East, and the colors glowing on the mountains behind you.
What makes this property unique
Enjoy complete privacy & be born free as you will be the only guest at the ranch! Experience peacefulness, great fishing on Wyoming's last wilderness river-The Clark's Fork of The Yellowstone. There is hiking in the mountains with many access trails. Also hiking in the Clark's Fork Canyon-which is breathtaking. You will have private access to fish for brookies on Line Creek, right below the cabin. Seeing the wildlife run free, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, fresh air and awesome night skies with no city lights. I like the fact that historical figure Jeremiah Johnson used to frequent the area. There was a infamous gunfight in the Canyon & Chief Joseph crossed through here when the cavalry was in pursuit. There is a lot of history and you can feel it. "Leave The World Behind" music video was also shot at the ranch this Spring. The cabin itself is so unique with hand tooled logs right from the Rocky Mountains! The decor is all 'old west', and you really feel a wonderful 'western experience'! The ranch is pet friendly for pets and horses too. Hall of Fame Cowboy, Buck Taylor, from 'Gunsmoke & the Yellowstone series, was the previous owner of the cabin. You can listen to the coyote's and wolves howl while sitting at your campfire at night, and really feel like you are in another era.
