About this property

Bohemian house downtown, studio, parking

Welcome to the coolest district in the world! It's not me who says it, but the famous British magazine Time Out, which this year elevated the Marseille artists' district to first place in its annual ranking.
The Maison is located in a secluded area, in a quiet area, near the Notre-Dame du Mont Church, the Cours Julien, the Plaine and the Place Castellane. The streets of the Cours Ju are an open-air gallery where Streets art is exhibited freely, each shop calling on an artist different for its visual identity.
The decorations are constantly evolving because pasters and graffiti artists come to converse with the existing works. Terribly photogenic!
During the day, you can go shopping in the many vintage or designer boutiques, have lunch in affordable restaurants, have a drink on one of the many terraces, go to the farmers' market or the trinket market of the nearby Plaine, on Wednesdays or Saturdays.
La Plaine is both the meeting place for skateboarders and kids. It has a large and very nice playground in its center.
In the evening, the Cours Ju becomes the most popular party district for trendy night owls.
Both bohemian and popular, its population is cool!
There is something for everyone: bars, bars, electro clubs, rocks, salsa ... the Espace Julien concert hall welcomes the best artists of the moment.

If you want to get away from the turbulent Cours Ju, the Boulevard Chave is full of nice little restaurants.
The shopping mall is close by and the Old Port is only about twenty minutes away on foot.

Not far from there on the Cours Liautaud, bus 81 as well as the 54 boulevard Baille, will drop you off near the Catalans beach.
To reach the Prado beaches, you will have to take bus 19, place Castellane.
Getting around
Bus, metros, tram nearby.

About this accommodation
The house inhabited by Sabine is one of those hidden places that does not leave you indifferent. Near the Cours Julien, in a quiet street, it has a large living room, an equipped kitchen, a master suite, a bedroom for three, an independent studio, a patio and a parking lot. With family or friends, it will charm you, leaving you with the feeling of a parenthesis in the countryside in the heart of Marseille! For delicate travellers. Mina the cat of the house will sometimes stay with you. 🐱

Sabine and her family live in a small, quiet street between Place Notre Dame du Mont (Cours Julien) and Boulevard Baille. You will end your stay with the feeling of having made a stop in the countryside, while having lived to the rhythm of the "coolest" district in the world, located in the center of France's second city.

This house is ideal for your stays with family, friends or for your business trips.
The personal and warm decoration, between vintage pieces, works of art and design, gives a soul to this place with an already very original structure.

The layout of the sleeping areas allows you to reconcile privacy and sharing. None of them overlooks the street.

While the building from the outside does not show anything, you will be surprised as soon as you enter by the large living room.

It consists of a lounge area, another for the TV, a piano and a huge library. The wooden ceiling is high, the floor is stone, the greenery enters through the window, the calm is amazing...

On the left, a large staircase leads to the first sleeping area.

It consists of two rooms:

The first is a bright studio independent from the rest of the house.
It has its own front door. It overlooks the first floor of the building.
The studio is rented on Airbnb regularly when Sabine occupies her house.

You will find a large 160 cm bed, a small space for cooking, a beautiful bathroom and a toilet.
Its occupants will enjoy total independence while having the possibility to move around the rest of the house. However, the bathroom and toilet will have to be shared with those in the next room. The second toilet is located on the first floor.

The second bedroom has two parts: a lower part with a single bed and an upper part, with a double bed on the mezzanine. The room can be shared by three people.

Facing the stairs that lead to this first sleeping area, a short corridor, bordered by a charming planted patio, connects the living room and the large kitchen.

The fireplace will not be available for security reasons but the bucolic atmosphere is there! The kitchen is fully equipped.

The second toilets are nearby.

In the cellar there is a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer.

At the top of the second staircase, the large master suite. It has a double bed, an office space and a bathroom.

Sabine and her children live in this house. Some spaces will remain private to keep their personal belongings, others will be empty and at your disposal.

You will have at your disposal a space in a covered parking lot just opposite.

You will certainly spend a doubly exotic holiday in this house with typical French charm in the heart of Marseille.PGJyPg
