Brazos Shores Guest House sleeps up to 8 guests in 4 bedrooms. Enjoy the beautiful master suite with a craftsman style bed, double sinks and a jet tub. The bedroom next to master has a twin+crib, and is decorated for children so you can keep your little ones close by. The two upstairs bedrooms each have farmhouse style queen beds and are connected by a loft sitting area which offers stunning views of neighboring farms and ranches along the Brazos. Enjoy entertaining family and friends in the bright and open living area, serve meals from the deluxe chef's kitchen and grilling on the back patio. 12 minute drive to Baylor and Magnolia. Take the complimentary Kayaks downriver past lakefront homes towards Waco, or upriver past farms and ranches and the untamed ecosystem of Texas longest river.
Tranquil and quiet neighborhood located on the shores of the Brazos river. Most all properties are 10+ acre riverfront lots. We know all of our neighbors, and our neighborhood is inside a horseshoe bend of the river (our road dead ends into the river less than a mile past our place) so it is very peaceful area for a getaway.
No parties or events allowed, reference the house rules for maximum vehicles and persons allowed on the property at any time. The hosts live on adjacent property and monitor all traffic as well as have 24 hr video monitoring for security and compliance with house rules, to ensure this property is well cared for and out of respect for our wonderful neighbors.

Spacious and Relaxing

This was the most well stocked, beautiful getaway country retreat. We only went to town for a short time and were ready to get back to the house to enjoy our friends in this quiet, picturesque, comfortable home. The walk to the river, the gorgeous sunrise, the visiting cows made it feel like the scenes they write books about.

Graduation Weekend

This house was perfect for our graduation weekend. It was spotlessly clean and is hands down the best equipped vacation rental we’ve ever stayed in. The rooms are comfortable, the kitchen is large and superbly equipped and the living space is open and perfect for family time. The rural setting is calm, quiet and beautiful. I hesitate to give the place such a glowing review because I’d like it to keep it secret and available when I need it, but honestly I cannot recommend it highly enough. It’s perfect for a quiet stay in Waco that’s convenient enough, but quiet and secluded at the same time.

Everything was Perfect!

This place was awesome, I have 0 complaints. My family travels a TON and this place had more ammenities than any other place we have visited. They had snacks, plenty of coffee, toiletries, spices, etc. It was walking distance to the river, where you had access to the boat and kayaks. The outside had a wonderful sitting porch, hammock, and fire pit (with firewood provided). It was perfect for our gathering (there were 6 adults and 2 children). The kids enjoyed all the toys that were left in the "kid room".

Great experience

I have stayed at many home rentals, but this was by far the best. I was so pleased with all the amenities available that made it feel like home. Last year I started renting a house around this time of year for my two sons, their wives, my granddaughter and me. I don't get them under one roof very often, so it is a great weekend for us. The location is perfect, as one son lives near Austin, and the rest of us live in the Arlington area, so it is halfway for each of us. The location was perfect -- away from noise, but close to town. We visited the zoo and Magnolia Market. Thank you to the hosts of this wonderful property!

This house is so charming and lovely. We had two families staying here for a Baylor family weekend and we loved the house and location in the country. We woke each morning and had coffee on the patio, the kids loved talking in the hammock out front and we enjoyed the outdoor fire pit.When we arrived, we were welcomed to a full stocked kitchen with loads of snacks, a full assortment of Keurig coffee and some assorted pantry food (Brownie amid, boxed cake, cornbread, flour, sugar, pasta and sauce).Each bathroom had a cute tray of bathroom essentials-Lufa, razors, tooth brushes, make-up remover, etc. house had plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, etc.The house was so comfortable and lovely and we will definitely stay here again when we come to Baylor. It was a quick 15 minute drive from campus that allowed us to enjoy some quiet and space in the country. We even asked the owners to mow the yard while we were there because there had been a lot of rainfall and they did it so quickly. Excellent stay!

Wonderful house with acreage on Brazos

My family of 6 adults & an infant had plenty of room. Very private home down a long country lane. Very well appointed home. Kitchen was great allowing us to cook for a party for 40 graduating Baylor students & their families. The outdoor space was perfect for this & for relaxing. Homey touches like porch swing, rocking chairs on porch & fire pit were perfect. Good propane grill. The Brazos River was a 5 min walk from the house, still on-property with private access to dock (submerged due to high waters during our stay) w/ 2 kayaks + life vests available. About a 20 min drive from Waco center.

Relaxing Getaway

This was a family trip to celebrate our Granddaughters birthday as well as enjoy some time on the Baylor Campus. Lovely and very comfortable home - well appointed with everything you need. We really enjoyed our mornings with a nice Breakfast while enjoying the deer, birds & farm surroundings! We also enjoyed relaxing down on the Brazos River Dock. We definitely plan to stay here again!!

Incredible stay!!

We stayed here for the weekend with 4 couples and had the best time!! So much space for hanging out and quality time. The amenities the hosts provide are beyond expectation - tons of snacks and all the kitchen gear you need. So amazing. The countryside is gorgeous and walking down to the river 👌🏽👌🏽 don’t miss it.

Beautiful & quiet

Beautiful rural property with great country decorating. Enjoyed sitting out under the covered patio for afternoon visits. Noah responded quickly with any requests or questions we had. Other reviews are right about all the snacks and coffee made available. Love that they had a Keurig and regular coffee maker. Wish that the commodes had been taller for tall people. Overall…..a great property.

Beautiful setting and gorgeous home

Our visit this past weekend was absolutely amazing! The home is decorated beautifully, was very clean and the attention to detail was above and beyond what you usually see in a rental home. We appreciated the variety of snacks, the comfortable beds and pillows, propane tank which was actually full and the well-stocked kitchen. Would love to stay here again!

Little slice of southern heaven

Came here for a girls trip with my mother in law and sister in laws. We loved the peaceful location. Would spend evenings walking down to the river. It was a nice escape from the busyness of town. Family Weekend

We wanted a relaxing weekend with our kids and grandchildren. This was the perfect place! The house has EVERYTHING you need! It is also stocked with awesome snacks. We enjoyed hanging out outside, cooking out on the grill, and relaxing on the hammock. We spent the day, swimming, fishing, and kayaking on the river. The adults and kids had an awesome time. We enjoyed it so much. The hosts are amazing! We will definitely go back!

Better than the best!

Exceptionally beautiful property. Home is well-appointed with more than you’d ever think you’ll need. Decoration is cozy and modern.Stayed with our three kids 8,6, and 5 and they had a great time just playing in the country. Great set up with rooms upstairs and master downstairs. Everything was ultra clean up or brand new! Owners are kind and so helpful. Best VRBO experience we’ve had!

We were both born in Texas; we love to travel and explore explore and are still happy to call Waco home. We enjoy staying at Airbnb and VRBO properties when traveling with our 2 kids, and enjoy meeting our own guests from around the world.

Why they chose this property

This was our home for 5 years. We loved living here on the Brazos River, and we always wanted to host it as a vacation rental someday. It is super close to everything in Waco, yet entirely peaceful in its setting inside a horseshoe bend in the river. We live just down the road from the property so between ourselves and our property manager there is always someone close by.

What makes this property unique

Wake up and see deer grazing among the pecan trees, take a kayak out on the river, or drive to Baylor or Magnolia in 12-14 minutes. The house is 15 minutes from Waco Airport. We have plenty of parking onsite, as well as RV parking/hookup on the property by appointment. Uber and Lyft both serve the area.
