About this property

Brazos Bluffs Ranch: Beautiful Home in Rural Setting

Our 300 acre ranch stretches over majestic bluffs and valleys on the Brazos River.
The guest house is a beautiful stone and log home. Located 5 miles north of the Waco city limits and 10 miles from Baylor University and Magnolia Silos, but feels like you're in a state park.
Bring your own kayak and launch in the Brazos River. (We do not have a dock to launch from so the bank can be muddy).
Bring your fishing gear to fish in the river.
House guests get a 15% discount for a guided horseback ride on the ranch.

Pet Policy: Only dogs approved by Owner are allowed.

Propane BBQ grill provided.

The house is accessed by a private road through gated private property.

Most cell phones have a strong signal inside the house.

No smoking on property.

Location Details: Brazos Bluffs Ranch is accessed through the Brazos De Dios Farm where the Homestead Heritage Craft Village is located.

Most GPS systems will get you lost.
You will receive a google pin 24 hours before check-in.

Horseback Riding: Brazos Bluffs Stables, LLC offers western horseback rides year-round along the Brazos River on the rim of the overlooking bluff plus miles of other scenic trails on our ranch. As a house renter you get 15% off on your horseback ride! Ask us for the discount code and book on the ranch website.
Horses, tack and helmets are provided.
No experience is necessary.
For your comfort it's best to wear appropriate riding apparel: jeans or riding skirts and closed-toe shoes or riding boots. Most of the horses can carry a maximum of 270 lbs. up the steep hills. If you will need a larger horse, please mention that when you call for reservations.

Our happy place!

We have stayed here once a year for the past four years. It is a beautiful cabin and setting. The homestead cafe is walkable and a do-not-miss dining experience! We love this cabin!

Great vacation

This place is just wonderful. It’s so calming on the front porch, rocking in the chairs, admiring the roses and the lake. Great keurig with k cups and a bottle of wine! The homestead is just up the road and offers a ton. The trail is a nice clean path over to a gear sunset. Loved the horse back riding and Lem was super responsive with my questions. Highly recommend

Beautiful Ranch Cabin

The ranch property was beautiful and just as described. Me and my family enjoyed walking the trails and the peace and quiet the cabin provided. We also booked the horseback riding at the ranch and the service and experience was 10/10

Great place just outside of downtown Waco

Stayed here with our teens for Baylor orientation. Great house with a lot of space. About a 15 minute drive to the university area worked well for us.

Absolutely amazing

The house and property were absolutely amazing. It was a family getaway for us and we enjoyed every minute of it! Definitely recommend taking the trail ride it makes the whole experience!! Enjoyed the hiking trails and just being together as a family!! Will definitely be going back again next year!!

Lovely Cabin

The cabin lives up to its photos. It was very clean, and peaceful. The added bonus for us, traveling with a young child, is that they do have a small smart TV in the living room (I don't think there is cable, but you can sign in to your streaming accounts).

Peaceful getaway

We came to celebrate our daughter's 13th birthday and were looking for a quiet, family focused adventure. We certainly found it in this house - it was both comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed family games by the fire and walks around the pond. The house had everything we needed!

Last Minute Stay

It was my 40th birthday and we were planning on just grabbing a hotel but on our way we checked here. So glad we did! What an amazing property and stay! Quiet and clean. 15 stars. Great communication. Love the homestead community and the Waffle Co! Great communication with host as well as we left a few things and they are coordinating getting it to us. So nice! Will stay again if in the area!

Little Gem in a Big Way

I loved how it was tucked away in the shade of beautiful trees near the Brazos River. Nature can be loud but beautiful especially at night. We didn’t have to go far for anything we needed. We enjoyed the crafts area and look forward to telling all my friends and family about it. Hope to come back soon.

Weekend getaway

We had a wonderful time at your ranch house. Everything was perfect and exactly as expected. The property was perfect. The guest house had everything we needed and Hannah was timely in her responses. While we did venture off property briefly, there was absolutely no need to do so as there was plenty to do just steps from the front door. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Beautiful cabin in beautiful setting!

Reserving the property was efficiently handled and communications were always good. Talked by phone and texted. The beautiful cabin is located on a ranch in a beautiful setting overlooking one and steps away from Brazos River. Secluded and peaceful. Nicely decorated. Just like the pictures! Loved it! Only 5 miles from Waco.

Peaceful house in the woods

This property is secluded, clean and up-to-date. If you're looking for a place to get away from the city or a place to reflect inward, this house is great for that. Only thing I wish it had was internet. With poor cell service and no internet it made it hard for us to plan our trip (we're from another state). There is no TV - which didn't bother us as much as no internet.

This was the best VRBO cabin we've ever stayed at. We celebrated my mother's 80th birthday here with family. It was in a perfect location in the woods, near a scenic pond. The cabin was beautiful (with the appearance of being very newly built). The rocking chairs on the front porch was enjoyed by all. We would be interested in returning again.
