The cabin was exactly as described, clean, and everything was well organized. Communication, directions, and the check in/out procedure were all perfect also.We loved visiting the forests in this area and the Cass Scenic Railroad. Thank you for a nice stay and a great vacation experience!
A wonderful cabin tucked back with some other cabins off a back road. Quiet and well maintained. We loved the fire pit and enjoyed a chance to unplug and unwind. Beautiful fall foliage but you definitely need AWD or 4x4 to get to the cabin.
We stayed here for a weekend ski getaway. The place was extremely comfortable, great beds/linens, a super hot shower, and nice amenities like bootwarmers and laundry detergent. We really enjoyed hanging around the fireplace and appreciated the games. It took us about 20 minutes to get to/from public parking at Snowshoe each day. Do be cautious, you will need 4 WD to get up the hill (if there’s snow) and make sure you download area maps because you’ll loose your cell phone signal as you leave the main roads. Recommend getting there the first time in daylight an be cautious for deer that really enjoy jumping in front of cars.
2nd time we’ve stayed at this location to check out the leaves changing and it had everything we needed and wanted. Comfortable and convinent to everywhere we were planning to go
We booked this cabin spur of the moment and took the grandkids with us for a weekend of fun. We absolutely loved the cabin, its location and the fire pit. I unintentionally omitted something during the booking process and the owners were extremely understanding! I appreciated that more than anything! Fast communication through the process, a charming cabin, family and fun… what more could one want? We will definitely stay here again!
It was private and nice. Although there was a dead mouse in the bathtub with droppings all over, the refrigerator was dirty, and there was a nest star in the bed for mice.
Excellent, rustic cabin with all the modern conveniences! Firepit was great, location was very remote (very dark at night!) and it has a great porch. Bonus was the metal roof to listen to the falling rain!
This cabin was perfect for what we needed. Time to relax in peace and quiet. Close enough to Cass Scenic Railroad for an afternoon activity. Be prepared with your own meals as dining options are very limited.
My family loved the cabin so much! Very cozy, clean and has pretty much everything you need for a relaxing vacation out in the woods. We used the porch to take fall pictures and it all turned out to be so pretty! Over all, the experience was amazing. We highly recommend this place. The host was also very responsive and accommodating with our requests.
This was a really nice little cabin suitable for families. Parking could handle a few cars. It was close enough to amenities, but isolated enough to get away from the hustle and bustle. Roads were tight and could be challenging for the less experienced. The gravel back roads took us to Snowshoe Resort. It snowed while we were there, so we took it easier. You have to watch for other cars coming the opposite direction because the road gets narrow in most spots. We had to pull to the side a couple times to allow the other vehicles to pass. Overall, though, the scenery everywhere we drove was beautiful.Communication with the hosts was very easy, and they were very friendly. I would come back.
Very nice cabin. Well appointed with all the modern conveniences (WiFi, TV, etc.) Great place for hikers & outdoorsy folks & others that want to unplug for a while. Train ride was completely lame (save your money), but it did snow up on Snowshoe Mountain, so that was an unexpected bonus. Also, the road back is a bit hairy & confusing. Better directions to the cabin (or more signage) would be helpful. Definitely enjoyed the stay & would recommend this place.
This is a spacious cabin that can easily sleep 6. It is well furnished with everything you could need to comfortably enjoy your stay, including a fully equipped kitchen. We are glad we brought our own grill as the one on site was not turned on. The cabin is about 3 miles from the main road, definitely plan to arrive before dark as the path to the cabin can be quite dark and windy.
Beautiful cabin, great location. I only rated low because there was an awful propane smell in the cabin our entire stay which made it difficult to truly enjoy. Also concerning. I sent message to property and they said, "others say that too,but its ok". It is not ok when you are breathing fumes.
Love the remote little cabin it was comfortable and nice plus it was really close to a lot of the places me and my girl were wanting to see. We will probably be back again.
The cabin was great off the beaten path just enough to relax with out traffic going by and no neighbor close by cabin was clean well maintained just a great place to stay will definitely be going back
