Wonderful clean condo

We love the portifino and this condo is beautiful. The host was excellent at communicating and was able to extend our stay for us last minute. The kids bedroom was amazing and I love how there are dressers in the bedrooms so we can unpack and not live out of suitcases for a week.

The original price was cheaper than any other place at Portofino. We booked back in the winter. BUT the owner contacted us saying we owed more because he made a mistake. He didn't honor the posted price which was very disappointing. He threatened to cancel if we didn't send more money outside of VRBO. Sounded fishy so I called vrbo to mediate. They were on the owners side and encouraged me to pay the difference or owner said they'd cancel. We paid it thru vrbo so we could keep the dates we wanted. Condo was beautiful with lots of space. Great view/balcony. Big bunk beds, queen on bottom and full size on top, good water pressure (dedicated water heater). The A/C worked really well. Kitchenware was top quality and they stocked anything you would need to cook. Don't forget to bring your own oils, butter, and spices of course. Great kitchen. Disposal was a little weak but we were gentle and careful with it and it worked fine. The fridge had a missing shelf and broken drawer, and there were no hand soap bottles in any bathrooms, just little hotel sized bars of soap individually wrapped. Hotel shampoo stuff, dishwasher/laundry soap, make-up wipes. Mounted hair dryers worked great. Toilet paper was single ply and so were the paper towels. Only two trash bags supplied. But we didn't really care that much since we bought our own paper goods and trash bags at the grocery store at the beginning of the week. Sheets were not soft. Despite everything we would stay here again.

We sincerely appreciate your remarks on our great views and balcony, as well as your comments on how beautiful and spacious our unit is.... In regards to the original booking price issue, this was nothing more than an honest mistake by us when we first posted our unit on the vrbo platform back in February of 2025. Note we responded very quickly and apologetically to you, and provided three very fair options which never requested anything from you outside the vrbo platform. Regardless of the need for those clarifications; again, we sincerely appreciate your 5 star review!! and, akin to your comments, we will be very glad to welcome you back on our wonderful PF unit!! .
