A cozy 2 bedroom Bungalow near the Halifax River launch a kyack or fish from a pier, or if you prefer the beach activities, both are within a block, so come and enjoy this laid back beach vibe. Then, if you feel like kicking it up a notch or two. Daytona and all its entertainment us only 20 minutes away. My home is older but a solid brick foundation. It's in need of some cosmetics. When there are any pets that stay, I steam clean all carpets. All neighbors are great and are a safe and relaxing environment. Pets are welcome. However, before booking, I need to know what kind and how many pets. Along with verification of flea regiments. There is a flat fee which can be negotiated.
Thank you kindly

The property was well cared for but old - and priced accordingly. It appears the bathroom was redone recently. The kitchen was functional but could really use a makeover. The location is great. The neighborhood is safe and looks like it's improving overall but it's still a bit rough down toward the river end of the street.
Cute comfortable little house. Currently being renovated but nice location in quiet neighborhood, secure, full fenced in for my furbabies. Property manager very communicative and helpful. Enjoyed our stay.
Excellent location to beach and river. Great kayaking, fishing and beautiful beach’s.
Nice house with all the amenities and central air which I was so thankful for because it was hot outside.
We had a wonderful experience here with our friends and 16 year old Pittie for her bucket list friend. We would absolutely stay here again! Louise was attentive and easy to communicate with, and so accomodating.

It was very basic good proximity to the beach
The property owner was very nice and the place was clean and well stocked. No television was a bit of a shock (something so basic). The property was very old and worn out but it was okay for our short stay.
House is Clean, We love the stay , the TV is small but it's it's not a problem, host is nice and responsive over all we enjoy the stay thank you very much
Check in at 1 pm. Host arrived at same time we did to clean.we were ask to go explore the area while she cleaned. She was there until 7 pm. Listing said coffee pot in cabinet we could not find. Host did refund 50.00 for inconvenience. It served our purpose but would not book another stay.

Very dated and wear and tear - no TV services
The property is in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to a couple public beach accesses. It is however a very dated property with aging and dated everything and NO tv services. There was one small 17”? Tv with the owners netflix account available but that is all. The internet service was stable and met our needs while there. The living room has some older but comfortable recliners and the kitchen table was small with 2 chairs. The mattresses were older and need to be updated. (A little hard - need a good foam topper at least). Kitchen has basic items needed however the toaster was broken. The owner did volunteer to reimburse me if I wanted to pick up a new one but I was not staying long enough to go shopping. No dishwasher (not a big deal for us) and there is a full size washer and dryer. Some of the flooring is in very poor condition in many places and needs to be replaced- esp carpet which influenced the “clean” rating. The bathroom was clean and has a shower in the tub (shower head had a leak). There were plenty of towels as well as some pantry items and toiletries. There were also a lot of toys such as bikes, beach chairs, etc that I assume could be used however we did not. We did not use the grill or the backyard). The owner is very nice and gracious. This property was adequate for our short stay but not one I will rebook without a some critical remodeling or would not want to spend a lot of time in if bad weather.
Located in a neighborhood built in 40's and 50's. A lot of these cute beach bungalow homes in area and no 2 are the same. Lots of different ideas on color and decor. Easy 10 minute walk to beach accesses just on the other side of A1A. The owner has the home very well stocked and she is very easy to contact with any questions or concerns. We had all kinds of weather and the air and heat worked perfectly. Plenty of hot water for washing dishes or showers. All appliances worked well and we used them all. Beds were very comfortable and had plenty of covers for all kinds of temps. One very big plus for us was the 1 car garage for our motorcycle. Being so close to the ocean it is always damp in the morning and being able to put inside kept it clean and dry. If you want a taste of old Florida this is your place to stay. You will feel right at home in a very friendly neighborhood. It is 1 mile if you walk around Margaret and Carol Rd. All kinds of fun shops and bars in easy walking distance. Super market is also within walking distance or quick drive. Plenty to explore in the area go north to Flagler Beach or south to Daytona Beach or Daytona Beach Shores to see the hurricane damage and do not miss the Ormond Loop to experience Florida the way God made it, has some amazing scenery. Also interesting is the light house at the far south end of A!A. Louise is a pleasant hostess and will make your vacation a fun experience. Hopefully we will stay here again.
Sad Property and Dissatisfied with check in Process
We arrive at the property after the check in time and I realized I didn’t have a code to get in the house (odd!). So I called Louise, she was very friendly but was not expecting us until a day later. She checked and acknowledged the mistake and gave us the code. First, we weren’t thrilled with the street the house is located on, the neighboring homes are not in good condition and it’s a little unsettling. In VERY short distance, there are amazing houses down the road on the river though. The distance from the house to the beach was nice.
The listing says it’s undergoing remodeling, that is not accurate, this is simply an excuse for the condition of the house. It is REALLY outdated and was not clean, at all. Simple (cheap) upgrades can fix so much! A simple mattress cover, new pillows, new bed set and the bedroom is fine. The furniture is from the 80s, at least. Simply changing the curtains could dress the place up a little. The medicine, behind the towel hanging over the cubby, had medicines that expired in 2004….I’m talking SIMPLE fixes would help. A printed sign of instructions with spell check would make things more professional. Erasing the former guests comments from the fridge. I don’t believe the place was cleaned before our arrival. Thankfully we brought our own blanket and pillows that we used. We left a day early because it was not a comfortable, clean place to stay. The property owner informed us she was unreachable the last day of our stay…bad business.
