Big newly remodeled house on 1.2 acres ranchette in majestic Canyon Creek. Short drive, 5 miles, to Glenwood Springs and everything it has to offer hot springs, adventure park and 20 min drive to Sunlight ski area. Access to fishing on the Colorado river right across the highway. Hiking and horse trails are abundant in the area, including the famous Storm King Mountain. The property offers two pastures and a fenced backyard for your dogs. Big deck with hot tub, gas grill and firepit chat set.
Canyon Creek Retreat is an ideal place to stay in Glenwood Springs. The home is a spacious 3300 square feet situated on over an acre of land. Views of the mountain surround the home. Originally designed for horses, it offers a pasture and a fenced backyard for your dogs.
Bedrooms: Two spacious master bedrooms each with en-suite. Three additional bedrooms with a variety of bedding options such as bunk beds, day bed, futon, trundle, twin, and queen bed. A sofa sleeper and air mattresses are available for larger groups. A Pack-n-Play is available for little people.
Deck: Step-out to the large deck and step-in the eight-person hot tub with powerful jets for evening relaxation or a morning soak with fresh Colorado mountain air. Or relax in thick-cushioned chairs while watching flames flickering from the gas-fueled firepit. Or fire-up the grill and serve a meal on the cast-iron outdoor dining table.
Game room (lower level): Fun can be found for everyone. Enjoy air hockey, foosball and plenty of assorted table games. The 65-inch HD TV offers a variety of premium channels. Perfect for watching a movie or sporting event.
Dining Area(lower level) A dining room table with seating for six is in the lower level.
Livingroom: The central heartbeat of the home. Leather reclining furniture is next to the gas-powered fireplace and TV. The dining and kitchen area blend into the living room. A walkout deck extends the living space, and steps away is the game room.
Gourmet kitchen and dining (main floor): Plenty of cabinets, and granite counter tops makes for a perfect place to gather, cook and chat. Enjoy many modern small appliances such as an Ninja blender, air fryer, instapot, crockpot, microwave and more. Cleanup is easy with the dishwasher. A few essential cooking supplies are kept on-hand along with pots and pans. Coffee (regular), and a coffee maker. A large wooden dining room table with seating for ten is next to the kitchen and living room area. Additional dining area for six on lower level.
Laundry room & storage area (main floor): A full-sized washer and dryer along with detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets are stocked in the cabinet for your convenience. Additional washer and dryer on lower level.
Young families will find a convertible highchair and 2 pack and plays. Pet owners will find a comfy dog pillow, dog dishes, and waste bags.
Attached garage (main floor): Parking for two vehicles with steps to the lower level. Unload your gear and store in the mud room.
Pet-friendly: Dogs are welcome( 3 total) . We do provide comfy pillows, dog dishes and waste bags. Dogs must be in a kennel if you leave them alone in the home. Please clean up after your pet.
Glenwood Springs and the Roaring Fork Valley offers an abundance of outdoor activities. In the warmer season hiking and biking trails surround the area. For water lovers, the Roaring Fork Valley offers an abundance of rafting trips, fly fishing and other river fun. The colder seasons brings the mountain snow and world winning ski areas. Skiers will enjoy the local Sunlight Mountain or Aspen ski resorts (take the RFTA bus from Glenwood it is cheap and easy). Vail and Beaver Creek ski resorts are nearby too within an hour drive on Eastbound I-70. Or strap on the snowshoes or micro clips and hit the nearby hiking trails.
