Come visit us at Hickory Hideaway nestled in the mountains of Southern West Virginia! Conveniently located within 15 minutes of many of the WV adventures. New River Gorge National Park, Summersville Lake, Hawks Nest & Babcock State Parks, Carnifex Ferry Battlefield and Winterplace Ski Resort. Offering whitewater rafting, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, boating, skiing, fishing, hunting and more! If you are looking for adventure or a relaxing stay, we have it all! We are located in Mount Lookout, WV. The property is located 2 miles off of US Route 19, less than an hour from I-79, I-64 and I-77. Cabin sleeps up to 8. Rates are based on 4 guests, there is an additional guest fee per night for bookings with over 4 guests that you will see when checking out. The cabin is secluded on 2 acres on Meadow River Farms, with nice yard and forest cover. Spacious back porch with 6 person spa and sitting area. Master bedroom has a king size bed, 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed and 3rd bedroom has 2 double beds. Master bath has walk in tile shower, 2nd bathroom has tub/shower combo unit. Great room with electric fireplace and picnic table dining area. Spacious kitchen with island for social activities. Washer and dryer and other accommodations. We are pet friendly however we must be notified and approve the pet as you are booking your stay. There is a Dollar General conveniently located within 2 miles. Check out is at 11:00 am unless we have approved a late check out. Checking out late will without prior approval will result in a double cleaning fee. Be sure to check out our discount for week long stays!

Wonderful cabin. Everything was incredibly clean and the house was well stocked. Plenty of room for our family. The hitting was great and the fire pit and covered picnic table was perfect and the place we spent most of our time when we were there.

My sister and I and our spouses had a wonderful fall birthday weekend here. We especially enjoyed home cooked meals together and relaxing time in the hot tub. The house was clean, roomy, and warm, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and we enjoyed seeing many deer wandering around the property. It was close to Fayetteville, and we really enjoyed Bridge Day and rafting on the Gauley. A great location for a relaxing time with family and friends, and to enjoy the nearby National Park. Would absolutely stay here again.

I had a perfect stay at Hickory Hideaway! Everything was exactly as described or better, the decor is wonderful, and the place was spotless when I arrived. I particularly appreciated the immaculately maintained hot tub, especially after a day adventuring in the gorge. The grill and firepit are also fantastic. Pro tip: Be sure to checkout The Market and Drinkery at Rt. 19, great lo al grub!

Awesome Cabin - Great Location

The cabin was perfect for our stay. It was very clean and had everything we needed during our time there. The hot tub was wonderful after a day of hiking. The location is very convenient to New River Gorge area, Babcock State Park, Hawks Nest State Park, Summerville Lake and Bluestone Lake. We will definitely stay here again if we make a trip back to the area.

Beautiful cabin in the woods

We really loved our stay. The cabin is actually nicer than the pictures show. It was very comfortable and clean. We did not use the hot tub. We did love having coffee on the back porch and watching the deer roam through the woods. I would highly recommend it for a secluded getaway.

Thanksgiving getaway

Beautiful secluded Cabin getaway for our family Thanksgiving retreat! The place was cozy and clean! Host was very responsive and accommodating for us. Features of open kitchen allowed for all of us to cook, eat and relax together. Bedrooms allowed for privacy and extremely comfortable. Bathrooms both were clean and great water temp and pressure when showering. TV and wireless worked well also. Hot tub was an added bonus that really allowed for us to all chill especially with the cold snow and hot water soothing. Recommend this to all as it was very affordable and easy to access with so many wonderful areas around for sightseeing!

Awesome house

The house is even better in the photos! I will say we got in really late so it was pretty scary getting there that night, but once we were inside (the access code was quick to enter) we felt safe and homey. Had even wash cloths and towels and the rooms were super spacious. We enjoyed playing the games that were provided by the host as well. The house was well equipped with anything you might need 10/10!

Wonderful cabin.

I was looking for a cozy cabin to spend a week with my family during Christmas time. This cabin caught my attention for having over 100 reviews! Our family had a wonderful time, the cabin had everything; the beds and bed linens were exceptionally comfortable, extra blankets available in the closets should you need some extra warmth. The host thought of everything. There was an electric fireplace in the living room, all 3 bedrooms had TVs, as well as the living room. The 2 bathrooms were large and comfortable, plenty of towels, and a great laundry room. On our arrival we walked into a well-lit living room with a lovely Christmas tree welcoming us to the cabin, very nice touch, thank you! The kitchen was large and well equipped for cooking and hosting large family. The property is well loved and maintained and easy to navigate, I loved the ranch style living, no stairs! I would wholeheartedly recommend this lovely cabin and would love to return. Thank you again.

It is quietly secluded in Meadow River Farms, somewhat remote but readily accessible to West Virginia's greatest tourist attractions and adventures. The cabin offers the serenity of quiet country living with modern accommodations.

Our cabin is newly constructed with all modern amenities and accommodations while having the feel of being in a remote setting. The great room provides a large area for families to gather and enjoy away time together. From custom painted corn hole boards with area attractions to an outdoor fire pit with chairs, you will feel right home staying with us. You can watch the deer and squirrels in the backyard from the hot tub as you enjoy sitting on the spacious back deck. It is centrally located on a 2 acre lot surrounded by trees.
