Our family stayed here for a quick family getaway and had the best time. The location was great, property was clean and spacious, and the kids loved the secret speakeasy with games. The hosts were super responsive and kind. We will definitely stay here again! One of the better experiences we’ve had
Great parking on a dead end street right in front of the house! Accommodations were well furnished including memory foam mattresses! Master bath is luxurious with a jetted tub!The speakeasy is quite fun with some games to play. Communication with the owner was very prompt!Probably staying here again on our next trip up!!* - one of the neighbors is incredibly awesome!!
Nicely remodeled house with an equally nice host who is very attentive and prompt. The house has character and uniqueness with original brick walls along stair case and the hidden bar/lounge in the basement. The location is okay, but we probably wouldn’t have chosen it if we were familiar with St. Louis. Also, make sure to consider there are stairs leading to anywhere other than the kitchen, living room and half bath, so it does pose difficulty getting around for children or the elderly.
Very cool property in a turning area of St. Louis.
Highly recommend this property. We had a great thanksgiving dinner there. Bring your own cooking gear as it was limited to just a few pans and pots. No cutting board or colander. Walking distance to some cool bars and lunch and breakfast places.
Very cool spot and right in the middle of downtown and Soulard. Not really walking distance to anything - but quick drive to lots of fun places. We had 4 adult males and the 4th need wasn’t great as a futon / so it may have been wishful thinking to have the 4 of us, but I could see the pullout working for a kid. All and all - we really enjoyed it!
We planned a trip to St. Louis with our 2 teenage sons and our 2 dogs. This house was perfect for our stay! It was spacious, updated and had a great backyard for dogs! The location was perfect too. We were 5-10 min from most attractions in St. Louis. We would definitely book this house again!
This property checked all the boxes for our family of 6! The house was in a great location for day outings to Busch Stadium, the Zoo, City Museum, and easy access to highways to venture out anywhere in STL. The size of the house was perfect for our kids to spread out in multiple areas, plenty of room for sleeping, and multiple tv's for relaxation. The game room was a tremendous perk for entertaining the kids and some family fun.
The home is located next to an industrial building that does see activity throughout the day, but it did not take away from our experience. The neighborhood is being revitalized and several homes surrounding this property were being remodeled while we were there, yet the neighborhood seemed quiet and safe. The home had an alarm system and a gated front entry, which were also nice features for peace of mind. The property manager was helpful with check-in/out, and responsive to some suggestions on household supplies. The I would highly recommend this location for your family trip to STL!
This home is in the historic neighborhood of Benton Park & is beautifully restored with all the modern touches -- it was perfect for our family group. It is on a street that has some industrial buildings on one side, but the overall neighborhood is very interesting & great for historic neighborhood lovers.
Brian is a fantastic host. Helpful and easy to communicate with. The house is an ideal place to stay. Some nice touches that other rentals don't always have (supplies, plenty of towels, nice bedding/mattresses, etc.).
