Just a stone’s throw from the Wine Route (an 8-minute drive), our apartment is located in Thannenkirch, a typical village in the Alsatian foothills: As the starting point for numerous hikes (GR5, Taennchel, the three castles of Ribeauvillé…), this village is a haven of tranquility—even serenity—and relaxation**, and for enthusiasts, of energizing and relaxing earth currents.
Three of the four most beautiful Alsatian villages favored by the French (out of 11 annual polls!) are located within a 15-km radius! Bergheim (8 minutes…), Eguisheim and Kaysersberg (20–25 minutes), and many other magnificent, particularly lively villages such as Ribeauvillé (14 minutes) and Riquewihr (17 minutes)…
Visits to towns renowned for their charm and quality of life are also very easy to reach: Colmar is 25 minutes away, Sélestat 17 minutes, and Strasbourg 60 kilometers via the highway (13 minutes)…
But when you return to Thannenkirch, that vacation feeling will wash over you again, giving you a little distance from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! Then, an aperitif on the terrace or in the garden will put that long-awaited, relaxed smile back on your face 😊
