About this property

The Cambridge 2BR apartment in historic downtown

Located on the bricks in historic downtown Fairbury! The Cambridge is a full suite with kitchen, onsite free laundry, free Wi-Fi, walk in shower, spacious living room, and comfy king size bed, 2nd bedroom has a double plus another double with a twin bunk. Conveniently located next to several restaurants, movie theatre, boutiques, specialty shops, and coffee shop. Fairbury is surrounded by incredible parks, bike and walking trails, and unique outdoor and historical adventures!

The Cambridge is located right atop the stairs, to the left down the hallway and immediately on your left, if you enter the south entrance. Entry door on the street has the On The Bricks logo on the door so its super easy to find!

Free on the street parking. I suggest parking on 5th street and using the south entrance but there is a west entrance on E street that can also access your unit.

Historic downtown district is very charming and alot of dining and shopping, and coffee all within a quick walk.

Great weekend stay

We stayed here during a family visit. It was a great apartment in downtown area. Check-in was easy and the apartment was very clean. We will definitely book again.

Conditions were poor. Lighting, horrible. Smells very bad. Maybe because of the mice and mice poop? Might want to do something abt that. I’d like a refund to be honest. I can send pics of mouses feces if necessary

The property itself was good. Plenty of space for two people and a convenient location. The beds were too soft, so we ended up sleeping on the sectional. When there are two bedrooms, my recommendation would be to have one bed soft and one bed firm.

Exactly what we needed

The hosts were wonderful to work with- very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The area was unexpectedly perfect with a small farmers market, coffee, and a few cute stores in walking distance. We would absolutely stay here again if we are in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay. The host's communication was great. He let us know the unit's HVAC was down earlier in the week, and was able to accommodate us into another unit in the building that still met our needs. Comfy beds, plenty of pillows & blankets, we would definitely stay again.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

This is the perfect weekend for family or friends. The rooms were really nice, check in and check out was easy. Within walking distance of several restaurants and the theater. Great price. I loved the feel of the rooms, the high ceilings, the window to the town square. The living room and dining room made gathering fun. And the beds were comfy.

Anniversary/Hunting Get Away

My husband and I came to Nebraska for a little anniversary and turkey hunting getaway. I am picky about where I stay, and I want to be as comfortable as possible (I promise I'm not a snob, but I like what I like). At On The Bricks, I definitely felt comfortable, secondary to the cleanliness, spaciousness, and comfortability. We will definitely be coming back, and we highly recommend this property to anyone interested in staying in Fairbury.

We love spending time with our family when we aren't working on properties. Fishing and any outdoor activities, reading, and watching sports.

The opportunity to find such a unique opportunity in such a wonderful community doesn't come around very often! The opportunity to bring great short term rentals as well as develop a premier event venue was something our community desperately needed! It would great service to have a place that offers full amenities when folks are in town for business, a wedding or special event, weekend getaway, or to visit family.
