Beautiful & Comfy for a group

We had a lovely stay. The outdoor space was a perfect entertainment zone for the kids, who built snow forts and planned 3 days straight of snowball battles. Hosts were great, helpful, and easy to communicate with.

Fantastic Property

This was a fantastic property in a great location with quick access to the town of Truckee, the Northstar ski resort and the lake. The house itself was great for our pre-Christmas family vacation with a fully functioning hot tup, outside and indoor fireplace and dry Sauna. Rayan who owns this place was very responsive and helpful throughout - we had no issues.

Perfect for a wedding weekend

The house was perfect in size and location, ideally situated near Martis Camp and the Ritz Carlton for our long wedding weekend. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals, and the spaces were inviting for relaxation. The Shaffers Mill staff were super friendly as well! Thank you for the fantastic memories!

Family ski trip

This property is awesome and the host couldn’t be more helpful. The house feels brand new and had plently of space. We were two families traveling with our kids and this house had plenty of areas for us to gather together and enough beds for all of us. (4 adults, 5 kids.) The owner is avail by text and extremely responsive. The gated community of Schaffers Mill is safe, beautiful, and conveniently located. We will be booking this property again in the future.

We spent a fantastic 3-night winter getaway at this beautiful Schaffer’s Mill home and had an excellent stay. The house was spacious, super comfortable, and exactly as described. The fully stocked kitchen had everything we needed — all the appliances and tools to make fantastic dinners with friends. It made cooking feel easy and enjoyable.Some of our favorite amenities were the sauna and outdoor jacuzzi, which were perfect for relaxing after a day spent in the snow. We also took advantage of the onsite gym, which had great equipment and was never too crowded — a nice perk that added to the overall experience.Ryan, our host, was awesome at communicating and responded quickly to all of our questions, making check-in and our stay smooth and stress-free.Overall, this was an excellent stay — a great home base for enjoying the Truckee and Northstar area in the winter. Highly recommend!
