Always a good time staying here. Owners are very kind and good people. Beautiful property as well. They made improvements to the cabin. Very comfortable place.
It's a slice of home away from home. You get the comforts of home and the the view of the country. Waking up to peacocks and the donkeys was so sweet. The dog fun who lives there is a sweet heart. The owner Dallas is just like having a relative toy stay with.
A cozy cabin on a farm with animals very friendly owner he was very helpful with any questions we had and recommended places to see think about staying there again this summer really enjoyed it

Super cozy cabin with everything you could ever need. From plenty of dvds to choose from after a long day out, to animals off all sorts that love attention. The family dog Fin is a blast to play with and the hosts are down to earth people that are some of the most respectful company I’ve met in a while. I could not ask for anything more.

Dallas was a great host and the cabin and grounds were immaculate. The cabin is nicely decorated with a good heater and includes nice touches like DVDs, a tv, a grill, fire pit and wi-fi. There aren’t many restaurants nearby so it is good to have an oven/stove, coffee pot, microwave, etc. I would suggest bringing slip on shoes to use when making a trip to the bathroom in the barn just to make life easier.
The property has goats, ducks, a donkey, peacocks, and a cute dog named Finn.
The place is located about 20-30 mins from Hocking Hills hiking destinations and about 10 minutes from Lake Hope, and down the street from Zaleski State Forest.
My friend and I really enjoyed it. It is about a 40 minute drive from Logan and Old Man's Cave; but it was worth it. The host and his wife were very nice, they even let us feed the goats and play ball with his dog. Thank you again for letting us stay.
Over the last 5-7 years of coming to the great state of Ohio, I’ve stayed in many different places.
Dallas and his Hospitality is by far the most welcoming experience I’ve had of any extended stay over the years. His Cabin and secluded retreat is not comparable to others. In coming years, I have no desire to stay anywhere other than there.
This was an amazing property with great owners. Dallas and his wife were great and so was their dog Finn. The animals on the property were a plus and it was so much fun feeding them everyday. Cannot wait to go back.

Our family of 3 adults thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Soggy Bottom Farm! Dallas was an excellent and friendly host. The cabin is beautiful and the short walk to the bathroom in an adjacent building was no problem at all. The cabin and bathroom were clean with everything we needed. The animals on the farm were fun to visit and feed, and we especially enjoyed playing ball with Finn, the dog. Dallas allowed us to walk throughout his property and from there into Zaleski State Forest where we found some wild pawpaw trees. We highly recommend staying there and hope to return! Thank you, Dallas!
We had a wonderful time during our stay, so much to do in the area and returning back at the Guest House was the icing on the cake. Vance and Susan were such a pleasure to get to know and they made us all feel right at home. Since I traveled there without my husband, I felt nice and safe being close to the main house. The animals brightened our day and kayaking at Hope Lake was so beautiful. Vance took the kayaks and got us all set up and held mine as I got in it and as soon as he turned, I rolled right over into the water. It was the perfect mishap to start the day. Let me show the grandkids not to get upset, and just laugh. Susan sent me home with some plant clippings also and I have them here with me at home as a perfect souvenir from our travel and a beautiful reminder of our stay at the Vance Guest House.
Dallas was an amazing host! The cabin was super clean and had everything we needed! The added bonus was the "petting zoo" they have on the property. We will 100% be staying here again on our next trip!
We had an absolute amazing restful stay. The farm is beautiful, the animals are wonderful. Finn is just the cutest dog ever and loves playing fetch. Dallas and his wife are so friendly and great hosts. We are already planning our next trip there.
The place is perfect exactly what we expected but even better the host Dallas is super awesome they have a beautiful property would stay here again any day
This place was a great little getaway! The hosts were amazing and the animals were breathtaking! There was so many things to do in the area if you love an outdoorsy time ! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice breath of fresh air!

We are retired. I have been an avid hunter all of my life. The deer mounts shown in the pictures are all ones I have harvested. The biggest ones were harvested right here on the property. I know all the best places to hunt in the area. I no longer hunt due to health restrictions.
