We had accommodations fall through as the last minute and we were lucky enough to book this spot! It was perfect for our family to celebrate our Daughter’s second birthday at the Ice Castles in Woodstock and then ski at loon.Thank you!!
The house had everything we needed and the owner was great to work with and very responsive. The house is not super large but plenty of room for 2 adults and three teenagers. Kids loved the ping pong table and easy access to community center. One thing to know is that there are 3 levels to the house and stairs down from the road in case there are mobility issues.
Would definitely recommend this home. It's a great little place with plenty of character, fun multi-level layout, nice windows overlooking the trees and a ping pong table to boot! It's also very clean and Frank, the owner, is super helpful and responsive. Would absolutely stay here again:)
Frank was a great host! Quick to respond and very thoughtful, checking in to see if we had any issues throughout our stay. The house was great, our dog loved running around in the yard. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying here.
What a house! Seriously clean and lay out and design-awesome. This home just exudes so much good energy. Comfortable setting with plenty of room for our family of 5. Community center is super close and nice for swimming. Love the music option for outside and even saw a snow owl in the trees near the home. Thank you for a great weekend!
Great space for a family get together! We love the Waterville Valley area and had a great week hiking and frolicking in the rivers! Close to all attractions and hiking trails right outside your door. We enjoyed the pools at the community center and playing ping pong at Alpine Retreat! Host Frank was top notch!
It’s not easy to find a comfortable affordable place for 6 people and a dog. But this place fit the bill and the community center is perfect for kids. We’d stay again for sure.
My family spent a week at Alpine Retreat and had a wonderful time. The cabin was exceptionally clean, spacious and very private. The wood burning fireplace made the evenings cozy and enjoyable. The location was close to many nice drives and hiking trails. We were there during the foliage season and the colors in the area were spectacular. Frank was a very responsive host and made sure we were comfortable. We hope to stay here again in the future.
We came to stay at Frank’s house for a ski trip to Loon. He was very accommodating when we made some changes to our reservation. The location is great. Can’t wait to come back next year.
House was comfortable and as advertised and the ability to use the community center was great on a day with bad weather. Host was helpful and easy to reach.
My teen boys and I enjoyed our stay at the Alpine Retreat house. It was a great home base for us to enjoy our favorite spots in the White Mountains. We enjoyed ping pong on the rainy days and in the evening. The recreation center provided pools, open grounds and more ping pong! Our host, Frank, was very responsive and accommodating.
We had a great time as a family of four staying at Frank’s property. We visited the rec center every day and the kids loved swimming in the pools, plus the bunk beds on the bottom floor of the property. The house was sized just right for our needs and had everything we needed. Frank was an excellent host, and kept in touch via text to make sure we had all the info we might need.
Wonderful host and property. The community center pools and bar were amazing. It felt like we were staying in a resort. Hiking trails were beautiful. We cooked in the kitchen and on the Webber grill outside, enjoyed the nice AC units inside, and overall had an unforgettable experience! Love it...
My wife and I recently spent a week at Frank's house and loved every minute of it. The house was clean, furnished nicely and enjoyable to spend time in, especially when the weather didn't cooperate. We loved the rec center down the street and spent a lot of time there. The location of this house is perfect for tubing down the pemi, swimming at the Eddy and shopping at the Town Square in Waterville Valley. We definitely plan a return in the fall and/or next summer.Frank was a pleasure to work with.
The property is really well suited for all not matter what the goal. We skied, took day trips, relaxed and lot watching football with a beautiful fireplace that kept us warm. Plenty of room, bathrooms and comfortable couch for the daily nap. The owner Frank was there to answer any questions and even made sure the lights were on for our late arrival. Thank you for a great week!
Great place, wish it stated it was multiple stories
This was a great place overall. Very clean, quiet and cozy. I was a bit surprised to find that it was a split level with a staircase leading to the living room and small stairs to the other bedrooms. We traveled with a crawling infant and eldery dog, which made having stairs a bit difficult. I went back and reviewed the listing and there's no mention of stairs or photos indicating that it's multiple stories. Otherwise, it was a great place.
We really enjoyed our weekend stay. Good communication and the place was right near the community center and Campton Mtn - both of which we took advantage of. The place was really nice on the inside and had all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. Thank you!
