Loved the house. The dishwasher was gross. We tried to clean it but there was stagnant water and old food chunks in the drain catcher so we hand washed everything.

Lovely home to enjoy your downtime after a day of skiing! Super well-equipped kitchen, lots of lounging space, complete with gas stove. Also spacious upstairs in bedrooms and well-appointed baths. Would definitely stay there again.

Great Getaway

The house was beautiful and very comfortable. A wonderful getaway for us. It had the perfect blend of charm and modern amenities we were looking for. Elizabeth was very responsive with questions I had before arrival. The information packet provided was so well put together we were well informed on how to operate the AC, kitchen appliances etc as well as great recommendations of sites and restaurants in the area. That was very much appreciated. Thank you Elizabeth and Sina for being such great hosts!

Charming and Unique

The home is charming and unique. Very tastefully built, especially if you enjoy homes with historical architecture and antiques! Unique fun artwork throughout the home. Large rooms and big kitchen! We stayed in the king size sleigh bed and it was super comfy!!!! The heated tile floor in the bathroom was fantastic as well as the antique soak tub! Both showers are huge walk in showers and always plenty of hot water!!! We would definitely stay here again! Only downside we had was while we visited in February to ski Jay Peak, we had a few days of spring thaw (50+ degrees) and West Hill Road became very soft and muddy. But hey, that’s to be expected in Vermont! As I said, we would definitely stay here again!

The house looked as advertised and overall was clean. Unfortunately communication was poor before and throughout our stay. We arrived at 4 and were told we needed to come back in an hour or 2. There were not enough towels, no paper towels and only 1 roll of toilet paper. The house was chilly and never came above 65 degrees. we were unable to use one shower due to no hot water. The issues were communicated and no effective solutions were presented. Overall very disappointed with the house and amenities.

Definitely coming back!

Great house! Perfect for me and my family. The house is beautifully decorated and the hosts really pay very close attention to detail. It was a short drive to Jay Peak with many restaurants nearby. They provided everything we could have needed and more. Will definitely be back!

Large 18th century Mahogany Empire dining room table with 6 seats. Accompanied by a 18th century old stove (as decor, not a working stove).

---- First Parlor
Spacious living space with beautiful gas stove which is very efficient and easy to use. There is also an A/C which is used as a cooling or heat source as well.

---- Second Parlor
Another spacious living space with a Roku TV & free Netflix & hundreds more channels.

---- Master Bedroom & Bathroom
King-Size bed with fresh linens. Cozy up to a lovely gas stove in the corner of the room. Dresser and closet space for clothing. Has an en suite full bathroom with sink, toilet and separate shower. This is where the washer & dryer are located.

---- Queen Bedroom
Comfortable queen sized sleigh bed complete with fresh linens. There is an antique wood stove (decor only, not for use). Dresser and closet for clothing.

---- Double Bedroom
Mahogany double sized sleigh bed complete with fresh linens. Dresser and closet for clothing.

----- Extra Bed
Upon request, we can set up a twin-size rollaway bed, it has a memory foam mattress topper.

Gorgeous main bath at the top of stairs with beautiful view of the backyard from the bathtub. Stain glass bathroom door with a stunning pedestal bathtub to relax in. Spacious shower with 2 shower heads and bluetooth for lighting and music to play while freshening up. Toilet & sink as well.

This property is on 14 acres of land, at the very back of the property there is a very beautiful & large brook. Try to catch some trout! This brook also runs along the side of the property as well. You're welcome to explore the property, it's so peaceful with many trees and wildlife.

The name of the property 'Basil Brook' was named after our Husky/Pomeranian puppy named Basil, and the beautiful brook that is wrapped around the 14 acre property. This stunning house has the style of an 18th century old colonial house. However, we have both added our own style and culture to create a home that is truly unique and we are excited to share it with the world!
