If you want a spectacular view, especially at night, Overlooking Adventure is for you. In view are three of Gatlinburg’s Adventures: Anakeesta’s colorful AnaVista tower with its surrounding activities, Gatlinburg SkyLift Park with its SkyBridge pedestrian cable bridge forming a “7” at night, and further in the background, the Ober Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway with Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area. Whether you are sitting in a rocking chair on one of the two decks or laying in one of the three bedrooms, the view is spectacular. The view faces west so you can see the sunset with its colorful sky setting behind the mountains and if you are willing to set your alarm in the early morning hours, you can see the full moon as it is setting behind the mountains. Finally, to the north on a clear day, you can see the never ending horizon towards Pigeon Forge and Knoxville.
If you are planning a getaway with several couples or families, Overlooking Adventure, completed in 2021, is just what you’re looking for. Twelve people can vacation here in comfort and style. In addition to three luxurious primary bedrooms, there is a queen-size sleeper sofa in the great room and two queen-size sleeper sofas in the lower-level family room. Each bedroom is appointed with your comfort in mind and includes a king-size bed, a 50-inch 4K Smart TV, an extra mirror, access to the deck and an adjoining spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower. The lower-level bathroom has a bathtub/shower combination. The warm interior décor was thoughtfully selected for a “beary” rustic yet comfortable feel. Take a drive around the nearby Roaring Forks Motor Nature trail. When you return from a day of hiking or biking the trails of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, skiing, snowboarding or tubing at Ober Gatlinburg Ski Area and Amusement Park or reaching new heights at Anakeesta Theme Park, a soak in the large hot tub on the main level deck may be just what you need. There are rocking chairs and an outdoor gas fireplace to enjoy too.
With the open and spacious great room, you can watch TV by the gas fireplace and join in on the conversation while playing games at the large dining table or surfing the web at the breakfast bar. Enjoy the state-of-the-art electronics in the great room, a 58-inch 4K Smart TV, Alexa for on-demand music, weather and sports, stream with high-speed internet. With numerous restaurants just minutes away, you could certainly dine out for all of your meals. Once you see the spacious well-equipped kitchen, you might want to shop at the nearby grocery store and have a home cooked meal. You will have small kitchen appliances, bakeware, cookware and tableware at your disposal with plenty of counter space to work on. The main level also has a full-sized washer and dryer for your convenience.
After dinner, you can go upstairs to the loft and shoot some pool at the full-size billiard table or go downstairs to the family room where there are several seating areas and plenty of space to hang out, play cards or watch a movie on the 70-inch 4K Smart TV. You can relax by the gas fireplace inside or venture outside and enjoy watching nature in a rocking chair on the lower-level deck.

This place was infested with stink bugs. Not 1 or 2 because it was "stink bug mating season" as Jackson Mountain rentals would like you to believe. I have at least 20 on video from the time I entered the property. Disgusting.

The cabin and view were great! It worked out perfectly for our group. Be advised the drive/up down is a doozy, and we were visited by bears every night- ensure you lock your car doors. But overall it was a very memorable trip!

Thank you for sharing your experience with us; we are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the cabin and the view! We appreciate your feedback about the challenging drive and bear visits and will work to address these concerns promptly to ensure a better experience for future guests. We hope to welcome you back in the future for another memorable trip.
This cabin was infested with stink bugs and lady bugs crawling out of air vents, on surfaces, in beds on windowsill and floors. Jackson Mountain Management company thinks it's fine to have to live with bugs because they are only seasonal. We had to leave after checking in and find other accommodations for the night so the problem could be addressed. Look at the other reviews for Jackson Mountain Management you will not want to rent from them.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We sincerely apologize for the experience encountered at the property as this is not the standard we strive to uphold at Jackson Mountain Rentals. Upon review, we do show the issue was reported to our 24/7 Guest Services Team, who immediately involved our local Operations Team and a licensed pest control vendor. After a thorough inspection, no infestation was found, and the activity observed was determined to be seasonal in nature, which can occur in mountain and wooded areas. Nevertheless, we recognize that this explanation does not lessen the discomfort you experienced, and we regret that you felt unable to remain in the cabin that evening. We also want to confirm that compensation was provided in consideration of the distress caused. Your feedback is invaluable as this helps us to enhance the guest experience. We apologize that this experience impacted your visit, and we hope to have the opportunity to regain your patronage in the future.
We were very happy with the cleanliness of the cabin. Managers were very friendly and helpful!
Lots of bears! We even saw a Bobcat!
Thank you so much for everything!
Cabin very accommodating! Clean and very equipped with necessary cooking tools and eating utensils. Each bedroom was a good size, had king size bed and it’s own spacious bathrom. (My main criteria) pool table a little unlevel but good sticks and plenty of chalk. View was spectacular and “almost” worth the drive up the mountain to the cabin. Dont take a wrong turn (a true right) anywhere going up or it becomes even more terrifying! Large TV’s in every room was a nice surprise! HVAC was efficient. Sadly the cabin has a stink bug problem, But i would say every cabin in the area does and my guess it has been exterminated several times but they come back. They seem to be stinkless stink bugs so they may actually be something else. If you aren’t familiar, They do NOT bite just aggravating…. I was continually picking up (with tissue) and flushing. I really want to vaccum the kitchen light fixture globe as it is getting full of the dead ones. But over looking those two negatives, the cabin is perfect for couples that can have there own space at the end of the day or s place for older kids to gather away from the adults. The check-in process was simple! I never needed to contact anyone so i can’t comment on that. Once off the mountain (5 minutes) you are right in Gatlinburg, Food City and several restaurants, location is perfect!!! Very few negatives here and the ones i listed I was able to overlook and our family had a wonderful time in a almost perfect cabin!!!

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate you staying with us. Here at Distinctive Rental, we strive to ensure the joy and comfort of our guests. We are happy that we met the intended expectations for you and your family. Regarding the bugs, yes, we do have pest control treat the unit as often as possible, especially during the colder climate, as this is when they are mostly seen. Thank you again for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review, and we are looking forward to welcoming you back for another exceptional experience!

The cabin was amazing. There was plenty of room for 3 families to spread out. The views were the best ever!!!!! The only complaint we all had was the FLAT PILLOWS. The flatest ones ever. Great location for Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The lights at night from the upper deck were BEAUTIFUL. Would definitely stay again.
We enjoyed our stay. The roads are pretty steep climbing to the top of the hill. 4 wheel drive is not a bad idea if roads are wet or slick. We enjoyed watching the mother bear and her two cubs that would show up each evening. Remember to lock car doors, because the bears know how to open them. There is a cabin right next door, but this cabin towers over it.
The property was just as the pictures showed. We had 13 of us (6 adults, 7 kids ranging age 1-12). It was plenty of space for us, the view was beautiful, and the property was clean. Our key code they sent didn’t work when we first arrived, but I called and within less than 5 minutes she gave me a new code on the phone and made sure we were in. Great stay overall!
Stayed at this house for a weekend. Lots of room to spread out, beautiful views! Can’t beat the view! The ride to the house is pretty steep so definitely something to be cautious of, especially in bad weather. The first night we were there, there were very high winds which did cause concern as we were very high up. Definitely check the weather before booking, but overall great property.
This was absolutely a beautiful cabin. It was nicer then the listing online. Very clean!! The view was breathtaking. We had a momma bear and her 4 cubs visit us every evening. We kept our distance and watched them play from the porch. The roads to get to the cabin are definitely mountain roads a 4 wheel suv is recommended but I did see a few cars make it up them. I would stay there again.
Perfect cabin! Beautiful views, love all the fireplaces! Wish we could have stayed longer!
Renting was easy! Property manager was great and very responsive to the fact a storm had blown a large tree down blocking our way up the drive when we arrived that evening. We climbed over and through the tree - nothing was gonna stop this trip! Made for great memories! The tree was gone the next afternoon! Lots of chain saws going that morning!
The location and accommodations could not have been better. The cabin is nicely appointed with everything you need and more. The multiple fireplaces made it so cozy and the pool table and hot tub were a huge hit with everyone. There is so much family space, but having televisions in every room gave individuals the option to take a break and wind down. The views from
the many decks were breathtaking. The drive was steep and you definitely need to consider weather when planning your trip. A perfect 5-star location.
Beautiful views, beautiful property, great space for all 11 of my family members. We saw a bear every day! The kitchen lacked some extra utensils and we had to run into town for any spices or anything of that sort. The communication with the property manager wasn't the greatest, slow to respond/ hard to get ahold of. This property is owned by a corporation so it lacks the personal touches that my family has loved with previous properties we've stayed at.
The website description is not enough. This place is amazing. Super clean, I can say it was spotless! The rooms distribution was perfect for our party. The view let us speechless. Get ready to see bears. Technically, we were in the clouds. FYI… the access road to the cabin is a little steep so a AWD or 4x4 will be recommended, however, my sister in law use a 2WD and even when it was raining they didn’t have any issues to get to the cabin or main road. Last but not least the hot tub is a plus. Thank you so much.. we had an amazing vacations!
We had a wonderful stay. The views from the back deck were incredible. The home was spacious with three full master suites. We saw bears everyday! One evening we had a momma bear and four cubs walk right through our backyard. I was concerned about the drive to the home based on other reviews. The drive is not a problem unless there is ice or snow. We even drove in the first time in pouring rain. We found there is a right way and wrong way to drive in. Do not use Silverbell Ln. Use Roaring Fork Rd instead. GPS wants you to use Silverbell Ln. Roaring Fork Rd/Loop Rd is nice and wide and well paved.

Thank you for choosing our property and for sharing your positive experience! We're delighted to hear that you were satisfied with your stay. It was a pleasure to have you as our guest, and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future.
This house is beautiful but if you rent this house you need a 4 wheel drive especially if it rains or snows. Also, some areas on the mountain you cannot pass if someone is coming the opposite way. Be prepared to be in a stand off or back up down the mountain. If you go up or come down at night be careful because you cannot see and God forbid it's foggy. We had to vacate the property after one night and Jackson Mountain homes wouldn't even consider giving us any kind of a refund. YOU NEED 4 WHEEL DRIVE FOR THIS HOUSE!!!!
The views were amazing. The house was spacious and clean and had everything needed. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table and the wifi worked great. Everyone enjoyed our daily bear visit.
We loved this cabin. It fit us perfectly. The view is amazing and we saw bears everyday. Plus a could of bald eagles! We are already talking about renting it again next year.
