You’ll be in laid-back vacation mode before you know it! Cook kabobs or fresh-caught trout on the charcoal grill—the fresh mountain air is an ideal seasoning—and then savor your meal out on the deck too, at the roomy patio table. And luxuriate in the outdoor hot tub while wrens and swallows serenade you in the daytime or owls and whippoorwills sing you a lullaby at night.

You don’t have to be on the deck to revel in the beauty surrounding Woodshed. The living room’s wall of picture windows floods the room with sunlight and lets you gaze out at the mountains even as you stretch out on the oversized leather sectional sofa. The sofa is, in fact, large enough for the whole group to sprawl out for movie night—the living room has a TV with cable and a DVD player. Woodshed has 2 bedrooms, one on the main floor and the other in the loft above, a layout that provides welcomed privacy. The main-floor bedroom, located by a full bathroom, has a king-size bed, a TV, and a ceiling fan to lull you to sleep. The upstairs primary bedroom features a king-size bed, a TV, and an en-suite bathroom that includes not only a shower but also a jetted tub—just the thing after a day of hiking or biking the trails of the nearby Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The bathroom also has access to the upper-level balcony; enjoy a romantic glass of wine under the stars before turning in for the night.
