Close to the harbour and the town centre of Royan.
Beautiful outdoor space with a pool and a tree-filled garden.

Ideal for spending time with family or friends. The house is set in very pleasant surroundings, next to the harbour of Royan and the town centre.
Beautiful mosaic-tiled pool offering a superb view over the Bay of Royan.
First floor: Master bedroom with a 180 cm bed opening onto the wooden terrace.
Ground floor:

1 bedroom on the ground floor with a 160 cm bed overlooking the pool
1 bedroom with 2 sleeping areas (1 double bed 140 cm and 1 bed 160 cm)
1 bedroom with a 140 cm double bed

The property was advertised as with air conditioning, this is not true, the only air conditioning was a portable unit with a hose leading outside through a piece of plywood jammed under the shutter & three very small self contained units which were completely ineffective. There were 4 towels for six people & it took several phone calls to get some more the next day. The sunshade was broken, the pool needed filling every day for several hours, the rear gate was insecure, the garden table was covered in bird droppings.Lovely villa, location & view but badly in need of some basic maintenance & TLC.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review, and for your kind words about the villa, its setting and the view. On the air conditioning: our listing does specify a portable unit, and we are sorry that this did not match your expectations. A second unit was delivered during your stay to improve the situation. We also regret the issue with the towels — additional linen was provided, but it should not have taken until the following day. Your other comments, which had not been reported to us during your stay, have been acted upon: the sunshade is being replaced, and both the rear gate and the garden furniture have been dealt with. As for the pool, a pool technician maintains it, including during guests' stays, and in summer evaporation calls for regular topping up; we have asked for a full check to remove any doubt. We are sorry that this stay was not the one we would have wished for you, and we wish you all the best.
