I could live on the back patio and be happy forever. Note the only bathroom downstairs is in the primary bedroom, so anyone will have to go upstairs if you don't want them in your room. The stairs are a bit steep, but overall, I really liked the place and would happily come back. The cozy vibes here are fantastic and this place has a very well stocked kitchen.

We had a fantastic stay at Shawn's house in Crescent City. It is a great base from which to explore the Redwood Parks 20 minutes away. There are also some great hiking trails along the ocean very nearby. The house is lovely - it is comfortable, clean, and attractive. The kitched is well supplied, the bedrooms are great and the deck overlooking the ocean is fantastic! Shawn was very easy to work with. He provides a lot of information about the area and is responsive to any issues. We loved the Redwoods, the beach and Sea Quake Brewing! I highly recommend!

This property is just as it says…right on the ocean with beautiful views. It does not have beach access, and it isn’t a useable beach. A huge plus is that it’s minutes from the redwoods and hiking opportunities. The host was responsive and lovely. The kitchen is usable but quite small and on the older side.

This place was so cute. It’s older but it’s well taken care of, pretty clean and has so many cute extras. (Ping pong in garage, record player, etc..) my family of 10 fit just fine even with just the 2 bathrooms. You can’t walk directly out onto the beach- it’s more up on a 30 foot(?) bluff, but overlooks the ocean and has beautiful sunsets. (The walk down to the beach isn’t far at all.) It’s close to the redwoods and a quick trip up to Oregon coasts. Shawn is super easy to work with. Definitely recommend it!

Sunset Cottage is a beautiful place. it is well supplied, clean with a magnificent view of the ocean! We loved the sun filled rooms and having use of the record player.We were able to access three state and national parks for khiking.

We absolutely loved this gem of a home! It was super clean, well stocked with anything and everything we needed, Shawn was very responsive and helpful. And THE VIEWS! Mornings and sunsets on the back porch were my favorite part. Easy access to all the beauty of the Redwoods. We didn’t want to leave and would love to come back someday.

The pictures don't do this place justice. The oceanfront setting is stunning — you're right on the bluff, and we could watch the waves without leaving the house. The home itself has a warm, character-filled vibe that's hard to find in rentals anymore. The record player was an unexpected highlight; putting on an album and watching the sunset set the whole tone for our stay. Everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly as advertised — just better. Great location too, with Pebble Beach a minute away and the redwoods close by. We'd absolutely stay again and are going tell all of our friends.

Beautiful house in a great location right on the beach! Perfect for our friends getaway. The deck space is amazing and the glass walls keep the area warm and protected from the wind. Short walk down to beach, perfect sunset views, an all around great place to stay.

This house and location are wonderful. I could have sat on the patio and looked at the ocean the entire trip. It’s very dog friendly. Communication with the host was great. The master bedroom is on the main level so that was great for us. I really hope to go back.
