This is one of my very favorite ski houses. The host Heather was excellent in communications. We had to make adjustments and she was way ahead in the planning. She was easy to reach. The owners are very generous with the kitchen setup and supplies.
My family and I had a wonderful stay for a long weekend. The home is extremely well provisioned, is conveniently located near town and all the Lake Placid attractions, and was the perfect home base for our weekend adventures. We really appreciated the well appointed kitchen and the BBQ grill.
Thank you for the wonderful stay!
This is a great property for a single family with kids or a couple small families. Great location on the edge of town and the owner was very responsive and accommodating.
The property was conveniently located and well appointed. Perfect size for our family of size with room to spare if you utilized the bunk rooms. The house was bigger than the pictures showed. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.
We spent a training weekend with friends that exceeded our expectations. Heather was an exceptional host with all the nice touches and flexibility for check in and check out. The house contains all the amenities of a good size for a group of 6 adults. It was our first time in Lake Placid and we will definitely come back. Thanks again!
My family and I recently had such a nice stay in Lake Placid during the Ironman. Heather was extremely accommodating and communicative. The house is very nicely updated, clean and had plenty of space for the seven of us. In a perfect location that was less than a mile walk to the Olympic village.
Would 100% stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a Great Lake Placid home to stay in.
We had a wonderful experience staying at Heather's house. We were a group of 8 adults (family and friends) visiting Lake Placid to experience the total solar eclipse. The house was in a great location (walkable to downtown) and was a lovely place to stay. It was extremely well stocked and the space was perfect for our group. Heather was very accommodating and communication was great. Everything could not have been better!! I highly recommend!
From the moment we stepped in the door, we loved this house. We were attending the Empire State Winter Games and made our booking rather late. We were so lucky to find this home available. Our party included 3 adults, 1 teenager and a 6 & 7 year old. The teenager fell in love with the bottom floor, she thought she had her own apartment! The living space was perfect for our size. Used the kitchen for home-cooked meals. It was well stocked with all utensils, cookware, plateware, etc. The table was big enough to hold us all. Even though the "littles" were watching TV, it did not seem to distract the adults in the kitchen/dining area. The beds were VERY comfortable. Bunk beds upstairs were just right for the "littles". Two full bathrooms and laundry upstairs made it super convenient. (I slept like a baby, unusual for me in a strange bed.) Very convenient to get to town. Although we had every intention of walking to town, the skate schedule was such that I chauffered the crew to town, and even though a busy weekend I did find nearby parking. Parking in the garage at the house was a big plus, seeing that we had snow for a few days. And it made it easier to unload/load the luggage and groceries. (Not too many rentals come with a garage.) Quiet neighborhood. We would love to come back for hiking/biking in the summer. Do not hesitate to book this property!
Great house! Not sure I would walk into town from there but parking is very easy in the nearby downtown area. Hosts were great, easily accessible, friendly, and made helpful recommendations. Lake Placid is a great spot to visit.
A lovely home located in walking distance to town. Location is convenient for walking to the beautiful downtown and a short drive to many restaurants, grocery shopping and all Lake Placid has to offer! Perfect for family gathering!!
